Cool game, loved the darkwood-like aesthetic and hand-drawn graphics :)

How does the game fit the theme?
The player needs to find his wife in a forest full of doppelgängers that mimic her appearance.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Code mostly from youtube tutorials since this is my first godot project. For the assets only the background music and sfx of shotgun.
How many people worked on the game?4

I didn't get it at first because I just skipped through the text. Only when the defeat screen popped up for the second time did it hit me: "Wait, I'm supposed to be looking for someone who resembles the monsters, but isn't actually one of them." (And yeah, I skipped reading the death screen too haha). Really glad I played this!
It's a nice game with a good atmosphere. The flashlight is a bit tight for me. I suggest making it a bit wider so it's easier to see. But still, I love the visuals and music!
Pretty cool idea for the game! I love the atmosphere of the place and the art style y'all have gone with. It really adds to the feel of the game! Would love to play it again if y'all continue work on it post jam <3
Really cool light mechanics.
Overall very atmospheric.
Shotgun pellet spread felt a little unfair sometimes, maybe more pellets, or slight tighter packed?
Character is cool and shotgun sounds nice. I would suggest making it less dark, it is hard to see anything else than the character.
Nice little topdown shooter. Great atmosphere and love the art style which fits perfectly with the story.
I actually like the slow pace and how the player stops for a bit upon shooting. Coz then I have to think about my positioning and not just keep spraying bullets.
Some player damage feedback would have been nice.
Keep it up!
Great project! Spooky vibes and cool art. I liked Martin's animations specifically! For a first Godot project, this is really well done! Some notes I'd have would be that the floaty movement made the game feel a little unresponsive, and I wish there could be a bit more visual feedback when the enemies are damaged. Overall, great work!
I enjoyed playing the game> I almost killed the wife after I shot her two times not knowing :))). Overall a polished game
I really like how the story plays out. I killed the wife first playthrough then got her in the 2nd. The control movement feels so slippery of some sort, like i'm moving through ice, but it didn't take me out much of the experience. Nice one to the team!
