This is a great game! Played this on stream and got to show off my Celeste jumping skills. ;) Keep it up lilbirb!

For one person on your time, this is INCREDIBLE. I found it super challenging. I got to the moving platforms and just kept dying. There is a bug where if you fall into the spikes, it sometimes doesn't kill you and you can just kind of walk across them (until you jump and fall back down on them lol). The birds are so suspicious. The art aesthetic is SO wholesome. I love the dialogue. It actually had me giggling at times. Very well done <3

Developer

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed! Any missing spikes or hidden areas on levels are all intended - the birds tend to lie about the stage, so remember, trust No. One!

Loved the game and the artstyle! Like a lot of people, level 7 was rough, and variable jump would have been awesome but it's a great take on the theme as well!

Developer

Thank you! yeah sounds like lvl 7 was a big spike, hard to tell sometimes when you’ve made the game and practised the level a bunch!

I really like your theme usage and art in this vibey platformer.

Developer

Thank you v much, vibey is exactly what I was going for!

Really like the “against the player” design. Much better than just using unfair deaths. The statues giving you false info early on is a great idea — nice way to mess with the player and implementing the theme.

Developer

Thank you, I tried to get the statues lying as early as possible!

The font is difficult to read in fullscreen. The art is simple but cute and it works. The music is not annoying and pleasantly enjoyable. I'm not good at platforming, so I didn't complete the whole game, but I liked some of the levels I solved.

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked the art!

Very nice art style and game feel, i did get stuck on level 7 though, couldn't figure out how to get the last two feathers, but overall i liked it.

Developer

Thank you! There are some hidden areas, and some of the birds can’t be trusted!

Loved the artstyle and the movement was quite good, however I killed the small amount of 108 pigeons and got stuck on level 7. It would be nice to have variable jump force like for mario games: if you hold the jump button then it would make a full jump, if you press it slightly it would make like half. Well done! Liked a lot the animal's tricky conditions.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, sorry you got stuck! I think level 7 was a bit harder than i intended, partially because I didn’t end up being able to implement variable jump - i think that would be next on the list if i update this project, good call!

Really nice little platformer... I liked the whole idea with the birds giving you rules and then making you figure out if you can trust them or not :D The artstyle and atmosphere are also really good, and the controls felt pretty smooth. Some puzzles made me stop and think for a moment, but in a good way. Fun game overall and very well done.

Developer

Thank you very much, glad you liked the atmosphere and the puzzles weren’t too puzzly!

Submitted(+1)

I love the graphics and the atmosphere! The platforming is smooth as well BUT the theme incorporation could be better. Nonetheless having rules being unreliable is a fun twist. Great job on this one!

Developer

Thanks! If it changes your mind, ‘Trust No One’ is also incorporated specifically into which bird is lying!

Puzzle platformers are dead, long live puzzle platformers! Good game

Developer

Thank you! :D

The idea of the game seems generic at first glance, however it's been executed really well. Loved the artstyle, music and gameplay. Well done

Developer

That’s very kind, thank you! Tried to keep it simple but effective!

Yo sick game! The BGM is banger (like really) and great SFX. I enjoyed the platforming till I reach a level with zigzag spikes on both side :(. But overall, the game feel is excellent!

Developer(+1)

Thank you v much, glad you enjoyed the SFX, sorry about the spikes!

Nice game! I had a decent amount of fun with it despite the simplicity.

For me though, the music in the background was kinda annoying, so I just muted the webpage...

It fits the theme really well, and I like the bird statues making the rules for the level ( and you twisting them ) in order to find the solution.

The character also plays really well, and the physics feel fine tuned ( to me ).

I like the minimalist artstyle, although I feel the feathers don't really match how the game looks, and the text ( while ok ) feels off/incomplete as well ( maybe some proper GUI could have helped ).

Overall, I really liked it and had a good time.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the detailed review! Yeah I think i struggled a little trying to get the feathers right, and if I had more time I would have added an actual menu/settings/level selector or something, with an option for the music volume, tried to keep it fairly quiet so it was more background-y. Glad you liked it overall tho!

I was stuck in the owl level where the feathers were under ground I got to the corners of the outside of the walls but couldn't figure it out although I have to say visually I loved the retro gameboy style art. It was refreshing and nice to see. This is wat games need more of. More refreshing games like that. Love the art its so satisfying

Developer

Thank you! Ah sry it wasn’t clear, you can press S or Down Arrow to drop through some ground!

My deductive reasoning is probably terrible, but I got pretty stuck on figuring out which were lies on 11 and eventually gave up, but not before... far too many pigeons.  I wasn't a huge fan of the number puzzles but that's personal taste.  Everything else brought a huge smile to my face, I loved the way the lying birds incorporated the theme, and up until toward the end, I thought it seemed like more of a traditional platformer than a puzzle platformer, which had me laughing because I thought that was part of the "trust no one" theme too.  In any case great work, nice simple art and sounds that worked well, good level design, clever and funny.

Developer

Ah sorry! If it helps, there’s also a sneaky way to tell which birds are telling the truth/lying, (which may also play into the Trust No One theme!) Glad you liked the rest though, thank you! <3

I really like the level design. Is there any way to make the game bigger? I absolutely love the animal silhouettes — you’ve managed to make them look great even on the cover!

Developer

There’s a fullscreen option that should (hopefully) work in the top left! lmk if it doesn’t!

Cool platformer! That was fun!
Just recently played Celeste...thanks for making yours less hard :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, Celeste was a big inspo for the level design on some of them!
