How does the game fit the theme?
Customers may lie about their food preferences for hidden personal reasons, so the player has to figure out who they can actually trust. Customers pay based on how well the food matches their true preferences, not necessarily what they claimed they wanted. Sometimes they lie, sometimes they tell the truth, and the player must use their own judgment to figure out what each customer really wants.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Fonts and a few sounds

Super fun idea, having to check the tablet and figure out if the customer is lying before tossing stuff in the microwave made it way more interesting than a normal cooking game. The art and character designs are kinda insane too, and the weird debt / food truck setup fits the theme nicely. I did hit a bit of lag in browser, but this is still awesome stuff :)
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! We will update the game to the newer version, and also release an Windows/Linux build after the jam :)
dog this is winning theres no way
Lol thanks for the kind words but jams are kinda a bit of luck at the top 100 on who wins
The art is really really stunning, I like the idea and the gameplay is really polished and well made. Good job!
The art is incredible! Great job!
Wow the art is truly amazing and I also really like the music as it really fits the game. The game is very fun, I could sit here and play this for ages great job to you guys you did amazing!
Slight issue is that it was kind of laggy for me playing on the web version so if you guys ever release an executable I would love to play it again without the lag.
(PS. I need that microwave.)
Such a fun, surprisingly complete game! The polished art and diverse cast are top-tier.
The truth-or-lie dynamic with the characters (looking at you, Goo XD) is brilliant, and the food truck cooking felt super rewarding.
Though I did ruin three burgers before finally spotting that hidden bottom-right bread slice in the recipe XD Amazing work!
Oh, wow! I wanted to do something similar at the start, but I didn't think I'd have enough time to finish the project! You pulled it off beautifully, though! The art style is awesome and the idea is fantastic! Great job!
Nice Game! Love it! It's so smooth and so chill! I wamt to be rich like when i play this game. Thank you for make this good quality. :) (Keep Update plz i want to play it again)
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! We’ll let you know when we update it to the newer version :)
Very cool game, figuring out what the customers actually want is an interesting game mechanic. The shark is a suprisingly kind debt collector haha
P.S. that robot really reminds me of those from Stellaris
I just played and rated your game.
And oh my god, it was such an awesome game! I just loved it. The visuals were great.
The game is amazing, especially the art
DAMN GAME İS AMAZİNG. Loved the visuals and gameplay you should publish it
Great game please rate my game
One of the best games I've played here in the Game Jam! I think this deserves wayyy more ratingss and comments. I hope you add more features to this game and hope youtubers collab with you
Such a fun game!!! This was way more complete than I expected!! The art is really polished, and I love how varied all the characters are!
I also noticed that some of them seem to always tell the truth (Goo, I think?), while some of the others just keep saying the wrong things XD That's such a cool mechanic!
The food truck is amazing too!! I really enjoyed the feeling of actually following recipes and making the food.
I managed to turn my burger into burnt toast THREE TIMES before realizing there was another slice of bread hiding in the bottom-right corner of the recipe XD
One of the best games I've played so far. On theme, perfect visuals, fun game loop, good music. Just an overall good game!
A lot of QOL features were implemented in the game and being very polished made playing very addictive. Unfortunately game froze at the end of shift 3 or 4
Thanks, glad you found it addictive! :D
Btw, regarding the freezing, did any specific bug stop the game from progressing (like not being able to put food in the microwave or customers not spawning), or did everything completely freeze? Or did the game crash on the browser?
Just asking so we can figure out what caused it!
Everything stop except the music(which stopped after a while)
Okay, I see! Yeah, I just tested it and it happened to me as well. Everything stops and the game crashes. We will definitely fix it once the voting period is over :)
Sorry that happened!
Love the designs they looks really cool, I like the variety in designs (the Sans was funny). I only have one nitpick with the inconsistent pixel size n the sprite but it wasn't enough bad to really bother me and the pixelart in itself looks very nice!
like the others said I wish there was a little more variety with the orders and more varied ways to figure out if the clients are lying or not. other than that i enjoyed it!
Thank you for playing i appreciatethe feedback, if you dont mind could you describe what you mean by inconsistent pixel sizes as i made all assets in aseprite, are you referring to the squish and stretch animations done to the heads in engine?
no, the animations are fine i know it does that if it isn't designed to deform pixel perfect. The pixel size seems a little inconsistent, like for example the pixel size on the microwave a little inconsistent compared the one in the bg, likely beacuse it was resized so some piexels ended up stretched, same with the notes, it's not a big deal tho.
When I draw sprites I draw all them 1x1 without rescaling them with a scalable res in mind like 640x360 for example (i even put it together gameplay mockup style so i see how it would look on a full screen), then the game window is resized exactly 3 times in engine so it's 1920x1080. that way everything is scaled at the same time and it avoids the small inconsistencies that would occur by manually resizing every sprite
Thanks for the response, ill keep this in mind in my future projects!
Super cool game with amazing art style! Great job!
I really love the art style and looks of this game!
