How does the game fit the theme?
Every hazard on the road is out to end your run — pedestrians, oil spills, tight corners. In this game, the only thing you can trust is your own reflexes. Trust no one, not even the pavement.

Quite enjoyable, but I was missing the Trust no one part a bit. The racing part stood out but there was nothing that looked innocent enough to the point that you could not know if you can trust it or not (which to me at least is the core of this theme). Besides that, some red cars were outright undodgeable because they would come from the direction you're heading, leaving no reaction time. A bigger view and it would play better I think. Still great!

Took me a while to realise the number in the bottom left was an attempt counter. Let's not talk about how many times I crashed... None the less, very fun game to drive around in and find your way.
Really cool game! Driving the car feels super smooth and enjoyable, the game has a great flow, and the music fits really well. To me it feels well-balanced, I love the combination of dodging obstacles without time pressure. I actually really enjoyed playing it a few more times after finishing it for the first time, my best time was 0:50, though I'm not sure if that's a good score! The only thing missing for me was even a brief introduction to give some context as to why the cars are chasing me and ramming into me. And from what I've noticed, running over a pedestrian has no consequences, but it would be cool if it did, like adding a 5-second penalty or something. Visually, the game looks fine, but the music gives it such a nice nostalgic vibe that it would be awesome if the color palette matched that mood a bit more. Overall, a very enjoyable game and an interesting take on the theme and kinda true to life ♥
This was enjoyable :D I would've liked to go a bit faster but I just really like going fast. I think the oil spills could have like a little bit of reflection in them, I thought they were pitfalls because they were entirely black but when I went over I spun out. It's not a big deal but more clarity is never bad.

really cool game ! I kind of had some problems when I moved up, because you have much more visibility on the horizontal than in vertical, so you have a lot less reaction time. Maybe it’s just me, but I also saw less red cars near the end compared to the beginning, but maybe I just didn’t see them. overall still a really nice game, I really love those 2d racer games !
That's an awesome observation that totally passed over my head, I'll keep that in mind for next time. I tried to balance the roads but ended up with no time to playtest a ton, that's on me for time management. Thank you again for feedback and playing!
Nice work! I tried 6 times but couldn't make it home. The vertical space is too small to see when head on collisions when moving up. Great work though. The game feels amazing.

very simple but well made! i like the car's physics and controls
The controls feel very smooth and drifting is crisp.
The music really fit the visuals, and the UI is awesome and has a great retro feel to it, which was really calming but also I was extremely stressed because of the cars chasing me so that was a great balance xD
Also you get bonus points for giving me a nostalgia trip as this game reminded me of an old game I used to play, called FFX Runner :D

As a fan of driving games, this one was tough! After a couple tries I've managed to survive for 46 seconds! Nicely done I loved the controls and animations, just wish the car could go faster sometimes.
