wait… i thought i had already rated this one… turns out i did!!

Hi, i didn’t introduce myself properly last time…
I am someone looking for clues, to lose, some time in detectives observation games!

That was so awesome! I was really immersed in it.  It gave me strong "Murder at Orient Express" vibes which I also love haha

From my understanding you have drawn the characters yourself - they look really good.
I have discovered the evidence tab after that and had some more interesting dialogue.

I also really appreciated that the ending depends on the player actions. One thing you could build upon is this friendship system - I imagine that pointing someone as a suspect would decrease it.

As for feedback I would suggest is probably making each character's dialogue window slightly different (maybe by having a different font color or something) so that it is easier to tell who is currently speaking.

It is one of my favourite submissions so far, great job!

Thank you very much for such a long and detailed review! I appreciate that you have enjoyed my game.
One thing I would ask you to do is to please edit the comment and delete the part where you are mentioning the killer and the evidence that led you to them (from "I had a suspicion" to "I was initially wrong"), just so that any future players, at least until the jam ends, wouldn't have spoilers in the comments. This isn't something that goes against any rules, but I'd prefer comments without any major spoilers. Thank you in advance!

Congratulations on beating the game and thank you for playing!

Nice game really captures noir.

Good job. I had a bug after setting the name, which is just a suggestion: does adding a name add anything tangible to the game? He can just be "the Detective" for the story to work.

I didn't get to the end, but I kind of figured out the most likely plot twist: the theme was trust no one.

The art is nice and consistent.

Adding a space key to speed up dialogue would be a nice touch.

To me, it's one of the best game of the gamejam.

It felt like a completed game ; there are tasks, you can interact with people and ask them questions about specific objects that you need to find in the mansion, and the plot twist at the end on the murderer's true identty!! Keep up the great work.

Truly an amazing game.

Nice visuals and story!

I'm pretty impressed by the amount of stuff done by just one person in a week! The visuals are nice, and the audio fits really well. I liked the story twist.

From a UX perspective, there could have been feedback on interactable objects, like there is for characters. Also, for the cobweb quest, the inventory blocks the view a bit.

Great job! :D

The art style is really cool ! and it matches very well with the storyline, the mechanics are smooth and overall the game is very enjoyable ! Great work mate

I love the art! The story is great, and I liked going around and finding things. I think there was probably some kind of issue with the sizing of the game. It's a little bit in browser, and some of the text on the top of the screen was getting cut off.
In any case, making a game is hard, and you should be proud of yourself for making something that looks this good in only a week! Well done.

Very nice visuals.

I appreciated that i didn't need to replay the game to get the good ending.

Good detective vibe

I really like the setting and the art is beautiful. The breathing animations on the characters really help bring them to life. I also enjoyed the multiple endings!

It’s very beautifully drawn

Wow what a fun game and great art! There was SO much to this game for a one-person team in 9 days - great work!! I love the story development of all the characters and as someone who loves who-dunnit type of games, i really liked the detail of the side quests with helping each player (:

Very nice submission from you!

One thing I noticed is, that your UI has the mouse propagation enabled, what you probably dont want. The first interaction I had, was me opening credits, clicking on the credit frame at the position of the exit menu button and suddenly my game froze (which was obviously the get_tree().quit()). So I obviously tested it with the ingame UI and it also lets mouse clicks through.

Visually very pleasing, I liked the art and style of it, great job!

Thank you for letting me know! I have fixed it in the latest version. I hope that you have enjoyed the game.
