Really liked the gameplay, mirrored gameplay is pretty good. Nice work
Good dialogue! The game is a bit easy, but it's a short and enjoyable experience.
Great game!
Great game, loved the tile based combat and the storyline.
The moving logic of the AI is very attractive.
I really like the concept and how the lore was incorporated into it. Very creative. Really nice job on this!
Interesting concept with the theme that is going on, but I did find it too short for my liking. Definitely expanding more on it will be good if you both ever feel like it in the future, but overall congratulations on making a game for a jam!
Really interesting concept. I liked the character designs. And the movement was really cool!
Really fun and creative game! I especially loved when the enemies suddenly started moving with me XD
The ending was super interesting too! I tried killing my past self (grandfather paradox...) and found the void, then after restarting it jumped straight to the “talk to your past self” scene! Unfortunately the page froze there TT
Really loved the mechanics and the way the game reacts to your choices!!
Oh wierd, that's a bug that didn't come up during development! I'll have to look into that after the jam! XD
I REALLY LIKE THE MOVEMENT! You gotta think carefully if youll shoot or dodge or where to even go! I really like that the enemy moves with you! Very nice game, and really like the designs
I like the concept and if it had more of a puzzle aspect to it, I could see it getting very tricky. I noticed the player movement would go from free movement to grid based and back and I think it'd be better if the game just stuck with one so the transition isn't as jarring. The story was intriguing. Would be cool to see how it expands :)
The movement system swaps being jarring is intentional! I based the vine of this game off of Void Stranger, which pulls a similar trick (though to much greater effect).
But you ARE on to something, there's more I can do to make the movement system swaps a more integrated part of the story. I appreciate the feedback, thank you!
nice game! i like the idea but the game has a bunch of bugs, and i didn't really like the fact that the player was locked in a grid, still very well made!
I really like the concept, good entry.
Hidden gem very interesting story and i'd love a more expanded one!
And the combat is very good, this has a lot of potential
Nice! it’s a short and compelling experience. The sequencing with abrupt cuts feels very thematic for this kind of time paradox situation. I was surprised to suddenly be moving in a grid system after walking around normally, but it wasn’t really a problem.
Dang I really like the story. I'm not gonna lie after getting to the end, I wanted to know more about what was happening. Good job with the game and great job with the story.
It is a very shot and simple game; however, the concept is really cool and it's fun to play. Keep creating folks!
Neat game! I enjoyed figuring out the ways that the enemies mirrored my actions. I would have appreciated if when we were in the turn based motion, that the characters would slide between positions instead, I sometimes found it hard to follow where me and the enemy were moving when in fast action sequences. Otherwise, cool game, great job.
In the moment I decided snapping would fit the intentional friction I was putting in with the movement system swaps, but I think you're right, smoothing out the grid animations would have been the better choice. Thank you for the feedback!
