Very nice visuals, I really liked it!
I absolutely love the art! The silly voice sound effects had me smiling too xD I ended up clicking through them since after a while it got pretty repetitive, but I really enjoyed myself! I couldn't get past the chef. I don't know if it's just me.. it took me a bit to figure out how to actually attack. I kept missing and dying until I realized I had to click on them when the hand icon was by wherever it was "punching", but even after I figured that out, I kept missing A LOT. I don't know if it's just the web build and timing issues since I know others was having that issue too with rhythm beat maps, but it wasn't registering my click even if I did it on time, a little bit before, or a little after.
Very stylish! I had a lot of trouble understanding where the hitbox is on the princess. But once I got it, it became fun!
Thank you so much for playing!! :DD I'm glad you had fun <33
i love the art style so much. interesting story. i'd like to see this game progress in the future!
thank you so much for playing!! :DD
love the artsyle here here, the portraits are very well drawn and expressive. The story premise is quite fun, i like that it allows you to replay the game and adds a little something on the 2nd run.
I really like rpgs with timed inputs. It took me quite a bit to get a grasp on when to block attacks, it felt like the timing window as rather unforgiving. eventually I got used to some of it but i still couldn't quite figure out the sword one
thank you so much for playing, and congrats on getting to a second run!! :DD don't worry about not getting the sword parry- seems that's actually a little bug that got overlooked on the final rush to complete everything hehe so your timing skills are safe o7
Really beautiful game! I especially loved the character designs, all the different poses and animations, and how well everything comes together with the story. It looks incredibly impressive for a jam game.
The combat system is interesting too, but it took me a while to understand the attack and parry timing. I think a small visual indicator, similar to the one used for healing, would make the fights much easier to read. Other than that, great work!
thank you so much!! designing the characters was such a blast and bouncing off silly personality ideas with the team was a treat :'] thanks for the feedback on the combat too!! we defo wanna try implementing something like that if we do something similar in the future :3
Truly incredible!!! It was a real pleasure playing it. I absolutely loved how the rose, the thorns, the flower to attack, and the leaf for the boost all fit so well! The only thing I couldn't master was the sword parry haha, but despite that, I was able to keep moving forward! I did run into a minor bug the 4th time fighting the prince (or maybe the 3rd) where my attack froze and I couldn't finish the fight.
thank you so much! coming up with the UI was a lot of fun, so i'm glad it was worth it!! <33 i believe there are some issues with the purple sword parry code- so that's not on any lack of skills haha :3c ty for letting us know about the bug too!! will try and iron it out :D
Amazing art style, really impressive, Bravo ! The final boss was too strong for me though I had to give up :')
thank you so much for trying!! :DD the final boss is definitely a toughie-- i've given it multiple tries and got v tilted hshshs thanks for the lovely review and for playing!!
Beautiful art style and some pretty engaging gameplay, even if I was kinda terrible at it. Great work overall, one of my favourites so far.
that's so lovely of you, thank you so much for playing and your kind review!!
If this was an anime i would watch it, you guys cooked! Ig the attack timing and parry timing is unclear, maybe there could be a meter similar to the heal. But other than that it was amazing, Loved it! (its kinda funny whenever you lose to one of them they just fight you again like theyre sorry for winning lol)
hehe thank you so much!! we defo had a lot of fun playing with the anime tropes :3c we defo agree on a visual indicator for the attacks and parries so will include that in the future :3c thank you for playing!!
This game is so good, but I am so bad at the timing! XD Art is THE BEST THING EVER and music is also extremely good! Amazing job!
Downright amazing! Super fun and would love to see this expanded!
This was seriously amazing! Super polished, and the art and music were an absolute treat. Took me a moment to get a hang of the combat, but I really enjoyed the timing elements, it made things feel a lot more involved. Although the timings could've probably been made a bit visually clearer. Great job everyone!
thank you so much for the feedback and for playing!! <33 we've definitely gotten some ideas on how to help make the timings clearer if we do try something like this again :D
Art is super unique for sure. And it's obvious that there was a lot of care that went into it. My game was lagging a bit not sure if it's just a me thing. Played some though and liked it a lot! Story is really compelling.
thank you so much for playing and for your review! :DD <3
This art is insane! So polished for a week. The story was really interesting. Personally, I just found the combat system to need a bit of tweaking. I found myself wanting it to be over and get back to the story.
thank you so much for the feedback!! :DD it was so much fun doing art for this project, and seeing it come together at the end and how our writer put together a story with my silly sprites was so satisfying :3 we've defo gotten some ideas on how to improve our combat too, so thank you for being honest!! <3
Such a pretty game! I am so impressed with the character designs and all their different poses in such a short time. I struggled with the attack and block timing; maybe an indicator like the one for healing would help. Other than that, I loved it.
thank you so much!! as one of the artists that really means so much <33 and thank you for the feedback!! we'll defo try implementing something like that :DD
That was fun!
Nice art, music, and gameplay!
The talking sound was a bit weird for that game but it's ok!
While playing I found out that skipping dialogue is not always working, and in the first fight I was always missing! Speaking of battle love the health bar!
It would be better to remove the godot symbol on start or change the background color to match the game better!
All in all, great game! Though I cannot imagine how 9 people coordinated to make this! I have difficulty with 3 😁!
thank you so much for such a kind and thorough review! <33
we defo wanna touch up the battle system a smidge hehe so hearing stuff like this will defo give us more ideas in the future :3
big teams can be a sturggle, but we've all been working together since university and are now adults that have to pay taxes </3 so sometimes sharing the load is just what we need :DD
Liked the style and story but the combat system was a bit tedious
thank you for your honest review!! :DD we wanted to try something a little different from a usual RPG but ran into some bugs last minute :'] regardless, thank you for taking the time to play! <3
It has really interesting take on turn based RPG, mixing realtime response in a nice twist that kept me engaged with the combat. I particularly like the artwork for the game, they are really high quality. And there is a full storyline too. Really well done!
Thank you so much!! It was a blast to work on :D I'm glad you enjoyed it!
