How does the game fit the theme?
Cards are played face down wearing whatever face their owner announced — the truth, or a lie. You look at what you're shown and decide if you believe it, then call the liar before the lanes flip. Right, their lies burn and they pay you; wrong, your own board turns face up. The cards never lie, the players do: trust no one at the felt. Works solo against the house cast, or with up to 4 humans (host a table or matchmake) where the lying is real.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
CC0 packs: Kenney (UI, furniture, fonts, sounds), Quaternius (characters), KayKit (props). Parlor table model by Danubis / One Dad Studio, given for this game. Music: "Deadly Roulette" by Kevin MacLeod (CC BY 4.0). Wall art: public-domain paintings. No generative AI.

Its incredible to have managed to make that in just a week! I wish the tutorial was a bit more engaging; its very difficult to pick up on whats happening.
Thank you! I'm working on a much better tutorial atm :)
Damn i like how similar ours is haha, nice job!
Thank you!
We love the wall art. Also love the different card art as well!
Thank you!
I WON??? I don't even know how to play.
You get bonus points for Dogs playing poker, Kevin MacLeod music, implementing AI bluffing (though I never caught them lying)
I think the jukebox was a really cool idea, and the physical cards and chips. I'm very impressed for a solo dev! I found the game a bit too complex to understand in the time I spent playing it, especially the bids, so I just went all in. The battles made a bit more sense, but I was never accused of lying, and anytime I accused the other players of lying, I was wrong, so I am not sure how that was supposed to work. I don't think this detracts from the game though, and I'll need to come back and figure out why I was winning :)
My team also made a hand bluffing game, but with dice. It was out first 3D (and not as advanced as yours) and we made it in the last 2 days of the Jam only. I'd appreciate it if you check it out and share your thoughts!
(PS the Dealer, Hatter, and Fence had no hair)
Thank you! I will check on the hairless lol I'm working on a much better tutorial to try and make things more clear :)
Cool gam !. The tutorial text is not really engaging and I was a bit confused at first, but once I got the hang of it I had fun. Cool art too :)
Thank you! I'm working on the tutorial atm :)
I have to admit, I was very confused by the tutorial text, but through playing it I was able to pick up enough along the way. I think it's an interesting concept that I think could actually be converted into a real card game.
Thank you! I'm working on a much better tutorial atm :)
The art on the cards is really cool, fun game :)
Thank you!
It's a bit hard to grasp to start, but relatively fun once you get a handle on it. Very impressed by actual functional multiplayer.
Thank you!
Thanks for reviewing my game! Yours is definitely a vibe. The gameplay itself is a little confusing (not at all bad I just have limited time to test!) but the design is flawless. Love the lighted mouse, the ambient music, the cards designs, the backroom lighting are all crisp!
Thank you!
Nice game, great job
Thank you!
I’m honestly amazed that you managed to make a multiplayer game in just one week! That’s seriously impressive. The gameplay also fits the theme really well, and I had a lot of fun with it. Great work!
Thank you!
Loved the ambience, the art style and all put together. The theme is also well integrated. The only criticism I have is the initial UX/tutorial like experience. Most people won't understand things at first not get what the rules are. As such a small practical tutorial/ practical examples could go a long way on improving UX. That said, still a great simple game with a liar's concept. Interesting one, great job!
Thank you! I'm working on a much better tutorial atm :)
Multiplayer integration for a game jam? that is pretty cool!
Thank you!
A solid card game implementation. I like the atmosphere. Well done. Impressive that you put in multiple player.
Thank you!
How do yall come up with such cool and complicated stuff, multiplayer too man like, awesome work!
Thank you!
This game is so cool and well thought out! The fact that its multiplayer and the complexity alone has me impressed, but only one person worked on this? THAT'S CRAZY!! Well done!!
Thank you!
Very well developed game and it has MULTYPLAYER!! thats crazy in just 1 week very nice job!!!
Thank you!
Having multiplayer is an achievement in itself.
I did feel like two different soundtracks were playing at the same time, and they didn't play well together.
It could use a proper tutorial to guide the player through a round or two, saying what is going on, rather than having to go straight in against the timer.
Thank you! I'll def see whats going on with the sound, and I'm working on a much better tutorial atm!
Interesting game, well developed, especially for the time given. Good job!
Thank you!
The look of this game has no right to be this good in one week! AND YOU ADDED MULTIPLAYER?? Great game.
Thank you!
