nice aesthetic , cozy and fun thanks

Developer

Thank you! I am surprised how many people find it cozy but I can definitely see it. I think the audio helps with that haha. And our artist did a great job with the visual stylings to match the gameplay. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

it gave me a similar feeling to Lethal Company.. Iron lung i like the concept and the atmosphere is done really well

nice polished game

can u pls rate/play my game too

Developer

Thanks for playing, I am glad you liked it!

Submitted(+1)

Fantastic concept really. I see the Iron lung inspiration there. Is there a way to check the current quota? I might have missed it if there is

Developer

Thanks for playing! You can see the current quota via the inventory command.

Submitted(+1)

Ooooh I see. I'll give it another go now that I know that.

Submitted(+1)

It’s a cool game; the atmosphere is reminiscent of Lethal Company.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Submitted(+1)

Very creative idea! Being able to go back to previous commands by pressing the up arrow or using the Tab key for autocomplete would add even more charm to the game, just like in a real terminal. I really liked the game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yea I wanted to add finishing touches like that but we ran out of time. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I felt at home having to play it on the terminal! Lol Very interesting concept, and the diegetic UI is very immersive too!

Good job guys

Developer(+1)

Thank you! A lot of the UI etc kinda fell into place that way so I am glad it came out well haha. Thanks for playing.

Submitted(+1)

Nice, it remind me of Iron Lung, being limited in seeing the world around you.

It would be cool if you had at least a GPS or something like that, maybe only revealing tiles you have only explored before, but just as an orientation tool, not actually showing what is on those tiles.

But maybe it's part of the charm of the game to map everything inside your own mind!

Developer(+1)

I definitely wanted to implement a map in the manual which shows your position and nothing else just so you can get your bearings a little better. But you also make a good point that its something the player needs to manage which becomes a skill test when the infection starts going up. Something I would have wanted to test but oh well haha. Thanks for your thoughts and thanks for playing!

cool game

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

The idea is pretty nice and to always activate the camera gives it a bit of uncanny feeling.

I think there could be more clues where the minerals are. Moving around aimless to maybe be lucky to find one was not fun after a while. Maybe the detect command could point you in a more specific direction.

Well done!

Developer

I think there would be more to do for that in a larger project yea. At some point you have to hand yourself over to the rng of "did I move to a space with good stuff". Still though, giving the player too much information about where the good minerals are would remove the risk/reward decision "Do I move to another location and detect to find more and better rocks and risk the infection meter going up?". Which is why we did not include something like that. But good thoughts, thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Love terminal and command and I always click arrow up ( to repeat command like in real terminal) I couldnt find any minerals - very nice graphics and running Camera is so cool

Developer(+1)

Yea we wanted to implement a repeat and a scroll but ran out of time. Maybe if you move around you will find some! Thanks for playing!

Very cool game! Working in the terminal system had my brain mapping out my position in my own brain. Thanks for showing it to me on the stream. :)

Developer(+1)

Hey, glad you like the game! That said I don't know who showed it to you on stream, wasn't me or my team haha. But thanks nonetheless!

Submitted(+1)

Oh it was Sam! Blame Sam. But glad they shared it with us.

Developer

Oh excellent! Glad he showed it to you guys then haha.

Developer

Just checked out the VOD. Really cool to see someone play it haha. Glad you liked it!

really fun game :DD the sound design was really nice and the gameplay was easy to pickup and enjoyable to keep playing. i agree with some of the others about the tutorial feeling a little long, but once i realised i could just kinda hop in and play and navigate back to check specifics, i didnt sweat about it too much :]  really nice lil experience <33

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! Our sound designer did an absolutely killer job. To a person, the team was quite strong. And yea the tutorial is a good lesson for next time haha. Thanks for playing!

Really nice project, I'm a huge sucker for anything with a terminal in it. Loved the iron lung influence.

Even though the game doesn't have any bigger threat, the limited view really helps to fill the gap. I think you have a great opportunity to mess with the player in playful ways, great base idea.

The initial is explanation may be a bit excessive considering how simple the game ends up being. I think you could cut that in half and let the player figures most things out with a simple command list.

Developer

Agreed the tutorial is too long. I wanted to take another pass on it but we ran out of time. Yea it is very iron lung isn't it haha. We didnt really have that in mind due to how it evolved from our initial idea but it definitely has a similar vibe. We did think about adding stationary threats but didnt pursue it to keep the idea more focused and elegant. Not a bad idea though. Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

Nice game - I enjoyed playing. Had fun managing the health with the infection damage, trying to be as greedy as possible haha

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Hey! cool game! at first i was overwhelmed with the instructions. but once i start typing, moving the rover, doing quick math (haha! love it!) taking pictures, panicking trying to return before the infection takes more health. i really feel like someone in NASA working on the rover! it was fun! good game!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! I definitely wanted to make the manual more concise, but we ran out of time at the end. Thanks for playing!

Nice little game. Quite different. It takes some time to understand the commands and the rules, which I'm not sure I understood fully. Is the game infinite? I played for a while, but wasn't sure it really had an end. I missed something like arrow key support to navigate the manual. Low poly/pixelized art was pretty nice, btw. Congratz on the game!

Developer

Thanks! Yea goes on forever until you fail. We didn't have time to design a proper ending though I certainly would have liked to. And no, we just forgot arrow key support which was a blunder in hindsight since its so intuitive. Doh! And I agree our artist did a great job.

The Game is very well implemented, the idea of controlling a rover via terminal code is great, the keyboard SFX was the most satisfying part, it might not show it but it really makes game relaxing to play. The controls are easy to understand. The visuals are well fitted as well. Had a lot of fun while playing it. Truly an amazing job.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! I think the team did a fantastic job on all their individual parts. We worked a lot on making sure things were well integrated as well so I am really glad that came through!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool idea for jam, but for better user experience I would either add keyboard input to the right or left arrows or highlight the buttons with some kind of white outline

Developer

I can't believe we did not think to use the keyboard arrow keys haha. What a no brainer in hindsight! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I really liked this game!!! One of the best in the jam!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That is very high praise!

Submitted(+1)
