How does the game fit the theme?
Keep your eyes peeled. Any passenger may not be who they claim to be. Catch the fare dodgers.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used asset from itch(barely-games.itch.io/retro-engrave-uigui-kit) for my modal window, buttons and controls. Also, sound design was build from pixabay.com

How many people worked on the game?

Really addictive and well-thought-out game. It feels really polished, and I especially liked the way you tear off the ticket. I can see this becoming a spiritual successor to Papers, Please with more work. Amazing work!

Nice game and a solid concept

Kicking people out of the train car is such a genius idea!

Really great take on the theme, the visuals were really well done, impressive you did that alone in that timespan, great job!

Submitted(+1)

Really interesting mechanics, and the music fits the game very well! I’d suggest using a clearer font, especially since this is a game where players need to read quite a bit of information. Overall though, it’s a really solid experience!

this is super cute! second the unfortunate kick out bug but i see the vision and its super homey. nice job!

Loved the game! A little bit of papers please and  a train journey. The UI could be better but I think the idea is really well executed during the time span of jam. Well done!

Nice! All around very good submission. The kick animation and sfx is hilarious! I also love the ticket ripping. And you did it alone, well done man!

I LOVE this idea and the gameplay. You introduce new features gradually and it was a pretty fun game! Well done. (the buttons weren't working for me, but I just marked them as bad in my head, haha).

If you happen to drop by again, please drag the ticket into the "kick out" zone. I definitely owe you one :) I made a poor choice regarding the UI element.

Thanks for your time!

I see! I will def do that and play the game again. It was super fun.

Generally a good game. I really liked the audio design.

Submitted(+1)

Really like the audio implementation! The arriving to station noises are a great touch. Sadly I was not able to play due to the kick out bug others have mentioned which is a shame because the game seems quite fun!

OH haha ok I see. It also does say that in the description I just missed it. A little hard to tell but thats ok. Thank you for the reply! Fun game, nice job!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting! From what you describe, it's a game that falls into that "bureaucratic work with escalating tension" category popularized by Papers, Please, but transposed to a train instead of a border

Submitted(+2)

I love that you actually kick them off the side of the screen! Carriage 4 I immediately went to all the bald/glasses people and booted them off the train lol very entertaining. The stub tearing is a nice touch!

Submitted(+2)

Certainly an interesting concept! The stub ripping effect had some of that super good ASMR vibe. Yea i see below people had the same bug I had. I couldn't click the "kick out" button. Also not super important but the inspector walking backwards while facing the game was odd but I understand why you did it and there was a volume slider but no menu music so its kinda difficult to see how it will effect the in game sounds. But overall on theme, creative, and good execution.

Nice papers please-like game! the 3d-looking stub was a very cool addition. I somehow managed to make it impossible for me to kick people XD (the button wouldn't work)

Developer

I made a huge mistake by making it look like a button, you're actually just supposed to drag the ticket onto it.
I threw the UI together an hour before the jam and really messed up.
Thanks for playing!

oooooooh, that explains it
now i get to see the funny kick animation :)

That's basically "Troleu" but in 2D
Absolutely love it!)

Developer

Oh, cool! I didn't know it existed, thanks for mentioning it! I wanted to create something a bit absurd, but I've got a long way to go to match that game :D

Submitted(+2)

I had fun! I like it, good execution.

Submitted(+2)

interesting game at first glance I couldn't kick out passangers because it was a little a tricky a bit for me

Submitted(+2)

Very fun game, and I especially like the satisfaction of kicking bald people of trains, just wish that one carriage didn't punish me for it  👟👨‍🦲🚄

Loved playing this! Very satisfying mechanics. My favorite parts were tearing the stub and kicking the untrustworthy.
