How does the game fit the theme?
You lied to the King. They said - CONVICTED OF LYING TO THE CROWN - and gave you five days before the block.
LIARS' KEEP is a castle of lies. The only Truth in this place is tutorials in mini-games you need to pass to escape.
Interact with objects & liars in this Castle to get out alive. (Check GIFs and description on the game page for help)
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We crunched hard & made everything from scratch!

This game is amazing and full of surprises. It's seriously underrated and deserves much more attention!
this is so amazing!! such an underrated game, what the hell! i really like the fairy’s voice acting and how she guides you throughout the game as your companion. the fairy’s role adds so much to the experience. this game definitely deserves more exposure. if there were a web browser version, i feel like it would get a lot more ratings. this is one of the best games I played in this jam!
Thank yuu! Browser version is the only one we have, maybe a typo?:D
Anyways, TYSM!
oh wait, you're right. I thought I downloaded the game. sorry!
art style and mini games are very good, game is interesting, and strong polished well done
thank you :3 I wish I could have done more art but unfortunately I was balancing a full time job on top of this jam. Very reassuring to hear the art style was liked <3
Edit: thank you for playing our game!
The art style and animation is beautiful, the minigames were very fun, and everything felt incredibly polished! May be a skill issue, but I found myself confused for the first several puzzles until I realized I had to do the tutorial before I could start the minigame.
Hey, thanks! And thanks for playing our game
I love games that include little minigames within them. Great visuals, and the whole game feels really polished and well cared for in every detail!
Amazing work!!! really enjoyed it i couldn't finish it all but might give it a try again later
Nice, thanks! I added a new section into description, because to complete the game you need to get items to get through different locations.
Correct order to complete mini-games: Cooking -> Gears -> Kitchen Basement -> Descent into the dried well (Main Hall) -> Marching Knights -> Catch the Fairy.
I was very confused but I think it was cool
Lots of content for a 1 week jam! A level to explore filled with different mini-games and puzzles. Your team should be very pleased with the what you have submitted! The rhythm game caught me by surprise - wasn't expecting to find that in this game!
I loved the art direction you went with, mixing 2D animation for the player's POV and also the post processing on the 3D environment. Adding voice acting and the pixie and an unreliable tutorial helper was a nice touch!
Maybe a skill issue on my part but I did find myself confused on a couple of the puzzles - after reading through the tutorial I attempted what I thought was right and was instantly caught and reset. I saw the golden square light up and the King say he needed 7 knights, so I joined and was instantly caught and reset. I tried interacting with the cogs but any action I took reset me and the puzzle didn't reset once I came back. I tried keeping the heat level in the green zone for the cooking initially and failed the puzzle.
Tysm for your feedback! The idea is that you have paths open, but need some item to succeed. For the Gears minigame: They are noisy. To make them more quiet you need to do the Cooking mini-game first. And to go through the marching knights you need a helmet to look like them.
So the order to complete the game would be: Cooking -> Gears -> Kitchen Basement -> Descent into the dried well (Main Hall) -> Marching Knights -> Catch the Fairy.
The UI is so polished! Every button is so bouncy and clean! I liked the mini games but for some reason the lock mini game and water section just killed my FPS. Definitely a power house of a team, y'all should be proud of yourselves!
TYSM! Yay, next time I think I'll go for a complete 2D game hahaha
Thanks a ton, I was able to try some new methods for my workflow and I think it turned out nice. There were alot of talented people on the team too especially Kawakami, they did an OUTSTANDING job, the real backbone of the team.
Cool setup with the "you lied to the King" thing, and I liked how it's this weird castle full of liars with little mini-games to survive. The cooking bit was fun, and the credits music actually goes hard haha. Theme could've been pushed a bit more maybe, but this is still super impressive for a jam game :D
Thank you, Thank you! Please, consider playing again, because there's a major update. The Fairy got voice lines and the theme is better portrayed because of it, also there's a "catch the fairy" mini game!
Great job, guys!
Thank youu! Please, consider checking the game once more, there's a major update. You'll see more fun interactions with the Fairy right from the start!
Unbelievable!
tysm! Please, consider checking the game once more, there's a major update. You'll see more fun interactions with the Fairy right from the start!
This was awesome, i can totally see this being made into a longer game with more content. I also didnt expect a cooking minigame to be so fun
ooh niice! We dropped a big update. Please, consider checking the game once more, there's a major update. You'll see more fun interactions with the Fairy right from the start! Thank you!
Wow, can't believe it you made all this in a week! It's short, but really, REALLY polished!
My only complaints are the tutorial texts skipping way to quick an it not sticking too much to the trust no one theme... And I guess I wished we had more time with the fairy, they seemed funny.
In spite of that, this is a beast of a game. The credits theme is a bop!
Yay, thank you for playing! I might hot fix tutorial texts now that many people notice it.
If you interact with a laughing guard, he and the cook can trick you, so Trust no One theme is there in dialogues and text on the screen. But I agree there could be more!
Your feedback about the Fairy gave me new crazy ideas I'll try to incorporate! I'll 100% check out your game when I'm free. And the hotfix for tutorials in mini-games is up, tysm!
Okie Rokki haha, thanks again for your feedback. I'd appreciate if you check the game once again. Now that funny fairy is right from the start and has voice lines, plus there are other optimizations to the game, including one more kinda funny minigame with the Fairy!
I didn't think you would add all that in such a short time! I played it again and for me, that bit of additional dialogue was just what the game needed - 10/10!
Btw, the "okie Rokki" killed me, please... XD
Really cool ideas, but the game does seem to just suddenly end without warning. I imagine you just ran out of time for the jam, which is understandable, but I would really like to play a much longer version of this. Especially since the theme of lying never really went anywhere in the game.
Thank you & stay tuned for an update!
Hey, the game is updated now^^ There's no one more minigame, and a funny Fairy voice-overed flying around and supporting the story/theme. I hope you can enjoy the fresh additions. Thank you!
I really enjoyed this game. It was an incredibly fun experience. The art, the menus and the general aesthetic is so cool!
One problem that I had with the game is that I would like the tutorials to disappear with a click instead of automatically, but you can read them again with a button, so it's cool.
I found a couple of bugs while playing, but nothing that made me quit. All the minigames are really fun... except for the stealth (I was just running through and nothing happened lol).
Now, I don't feel like the theme of the Jam is fully applied. Also, the level design felt... weird. Like everything was kind of disorganized.
But overall, I really enjoyed the game, it was fun!
tysm for feedback! Please, check the game again, it got a massive update! Now you can see more of that funny fairy which tells the theme better, and minigames are optimized + added one more. and for example, if you tried going up the stairs in the main hall, there was nothing.. well, now there's something:D not much, but it kinda has some meaning now.
have fun!
Incredible work on its development.
The atmosphere, mechanics, UI concepts, and theme are amazing. The animations are great; I couldn't quite understand some of the text because it was so fast, but otherwise, I'm delighted.
Regards.
tysm for playing and your feedback!^^
I'd appreciate if you'd check the game again, now the Fairy got more into the story and has voice lines! There are now more funny interactions with her.
Very fun (and funny) game! Great job on the animations.
In some of the tutorials, the text goes past too quickly and I couldn't read what it said. Managed to finish it either way as the mini-games aren't too hard, but letting players click instead of the text being timed would be helpful!
Thank youu, please check the game once more, it got an update with Fairy being voice-overed and supports the journey from the start. Also optimized all minigames and added a new one!
