I like the visuals and audio of the game. Only real problem I would say it has is the running out of bullets and not getting more from chests. Though that might be on me, could have missed something in the shop or instructions.

Edit: Beat the game, without any upgrades btw. I would add more upgrades in the shop and the ability to buy bullets. Other than that, Very fun game.

This was one of the visuals I liked best in the Jam. I really enjoyed the game. The mechanics were awesome.

The only little thing that bothered me a bit was the loading time for the shop; I felt it disrupted the game's flow slightly.

The wanted bar should be smaller and moved to the bottom, transparent or displayed next to the player,  besides that very satisfying animations, smooth gameplay and nice graphics, I really liked it!

The game was fun, I enjoyed the visuals and the sounds. The wanted UI covered part of the screen which made it hard to see some of the civilians. But I enjoyed running around and shooting civilians to make money.

great game , loved its simplicity and simple but great art my only complain is the wanted ui at the top it covered the top part which made the civilians come without me being able to see them , other than that the game is great

the whole thing is one consistent sepia western, wanted poster as the meter and the info board pinned up in the corner. nice touch making the civilians the threat rather than the lawmen

Hi, nicely done arena-with-a-twist :)

You managed to do pretty well with a small scope, simple art, simple music loop... A short scoped game that works very well.

Developer

thanks ♥️

I enjoyed the game and liked the concept. It was very easy and doable without needing any upgrades though.  You might wanna consider showing the shop as an UI element with screen overlay to avoid scene loading every time you open the shop. Great job anyway!

Developer(+1)

i can consider that :)

Really liked this one! The color palette and simple art are lovely and I had fun just wandering around and killing civil-I mean collecting money. Plus I found it funny how you used the same SFX pack for the gun as I have for my game.
Great work!

Developer

well, if you have the same sfx as me then ur game must be good ;)
imma go check it out later today

Very well made!

The game looks really good and polished and is quite fun! Other than the stuff ppl mentioned about the UI, ig rn its just monotonous civilian shooting simulator, maybe you could have added like watchtowers, sheriffs, vips etc. and more environment objects to interact with. I understand that due to jam restrictions you might not have had time to add a lot of stuff, so it has a lot of potential, looking forward to its expansion if youre ever going to :)

Very good polish game. i'd more crazy upgrade like some better gun and more particles.

Submitted

The was really fun but i didnt quite understand why on while shopping the level wanted was still counting it should have paused the game. Overall the game itself has alot of potential

Developer

oh, I must have missed that bug xD
glad you had fun :)

Submitted

Very good game! although at first i didn't get how to get more ammo so maybe it should be a bit more clear

Developer

i can try to change that

Submitted

It would be great if there were 1 or 2 more types of creatures/npcs. The 'wanted' sign stays over the civilians and blocks my view. Other than that, nothing seems to be missing

Nice visuals! Even the loading animation was nicely designed and on theme!

I loved the strikethrough explanation at the beginning :D

Suggestions for improvements:

- Shop is looking good as well, but I wish there wasn't a loading animation necessary here.

- The wanted and info banners could use some transparency. Sometimes civilians were hidden behind there and it was hard to kill someone because I couldn't see them

- It felt easier to just skip the ammunition and reload upgrades and save for the game win. Maybe try rebalancing it in a way that makes the upgrade more worthwhile

Developer

thanks for the extensive feedback :)

originally there was way more content planned (more shop items & more civilians) , but because of the lack of time i was unable to implement it all. But i am happy that your suggestions line up pretty well with the ideas i had ;)

I  liked the atmosphere. However the game is a bit unbalanced. So what I  did is I just started killing NPCs and get money from them which completely removed the  need to search for the chests? And for some reasons you get new bullets from time to time so I didn't run out of ammo at any point? Because of that being spotted never became a problem

Overall the game felt pretty cozy and relaxing. Good job on the game!

The overall game was really good. The controls were nice. And actually played for a quite while before rating.

Great Game!!

Developer

Happy to hear that :)
