The art and visuals are amazing! Super polished and satisfying to play. It's really super addictive. Great work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much! We can't wait to expand the game post-Jam.

Submitted(+1)

this was great! so well polished, i loved the style. i think i could be a professional barber tbh

Developer

This is all the barber experience you need, I'm sure!
Don't hesitate to share the in-game polaroids, I'd love to see them.

What a awesome expedience. The game feels really chill but when the girl with the 3 eyes appear I was constantly expecting something scary to happen! and the calm music did not made it better, haha :D

The game is so clean and well crafted. The mechanic with the hair cut is simple and fun. I like also that there is no fail state, which lead me to play it again just to mess people up :D

Would be cool if the guest made a comment about the result.

The art and music are also excellent! 10/10

Developer

That's really nice of you. Thanks really! we had to cut quite a bit to hit the deadline but proper feedback and grading is gonna be in the works as soon as we recover from the jam recoil. I hope you have a lovely day rating games!

This is really cool! I like the small details of some secrets being revealed on the TV screen, individual with each customer. Good job 👏👏👏👏👏

Developer

Hehehe if we had more time we would have added even more easter eggs, but I'm happy with what we were able to deliver,  thank you so much!!

this is the winner right here, my winner at least, I enjoyed this so much its so well executed, SO GOOD

Developer (1 edit)

I Literally couldn't smile any wider! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!

Amazing ! Well done :)

Developer

Thank you Pixies ♡

Incredibly well made and I could definitely see this turn into a full game once it gets an ending.
That being said, I was giving a haircut to look like the saxophone guy and then the game crashed. This was my 4th client.

Developer

Oop, I'm sorry about that! Did it ever happen again? It's rare for browser games to do that.  I hope it didn't ruin the fun... thanks for the kind words ☆

i think this is my favorite use of the theme by far! it prays on my real fear of barbers messing up

great game!  i think all my customers are going to sue me now

Developer

I'll be your lawyer!

someone below said he didn't see the connection to the theme, it ruined my sleep completely hahaha, so thank you so much.

The pixel art is perfect and the game play is fun

cool game

the 3 eyes realy surprise me hahahah

Developer(+1)

Hello sir, my eyes are up here, i mean way up there.... hahaha. Thank you man!

Beautiful game. The style and audio were top notch! Only needs some win/loose conditions to turn it into a real game

Developer

Ty ty ty ♡ Yeah a grading system based reference pictures from the clients was in the works but ended up going for sim sandbox only for the jam (submitted 2 mins before the deadline :p) . Future plans will have shops and potions, grading and monetary system, and a story with a proper ending.

Maybe I missed it but some feedback on how close I got with the haircuts ,despite the generic descriptions, would have been nice. Also the ability to see the haircuts after the game would have been a good addition.
Other then these 2 tiny things the game was perfect! It's really charming and has a nice vibe. I liked it a lot. Nice little details everywhere that just add up.
Good job!

Developer(+1)

In the scene where the polaroid comes out you can choose to save the photo and it will download. As for the customer feedback and a grading system we simply did not have enough time to implement it, but it is something we plan to add. Thank you so much for the feedback we're glad people like it.

Developer

A screen showing all the work on a single run at the end is a great idea for the future! Or an online gallery to see people's work as well... once we get back our energy for sure! Thank you for taking the time to play and comment. Appreciated.

i love the audio, but i don't see the trust no one theme

Love the art style and gameplay, well done :)

Developer(+1)

Very much appreciated! thanks for giving it a shot.

Absolutely killer. I was trying to look for something to complain about and legitimately struggled. I was going to say something about not being able to target the back hair, but then I read the description and realized I could not right click on mobile! I’ll download this later and give it another go. No notes! Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Developer (1 edit)

I wish we had the time to add instructions in-game, but we really struggled to get everything done in time so we'll definitely include it in the future! I hope you have a great time rating the next games! Would love to see some of the polaroids if you get the chance.

Fun game and funny interactions! I felt a little bad for some of their cuts but that's probably pretty accurate to how I'd be as a real barber tbh. The monochrome art was great; it gives it a classy vibe which contrasts nicely with the wackiness of the game

Developer

It's ok hair trends to grow back,  except for that last lady probably...

I'm really glad you enjoyed your experience!!

Submitted(+1)

I love this tipsy little vibe — after playing, I felt like I'd gotten drunk too XD

Developer

I'd say mission accomplished! :]

Submitted(+1)

This game is a vibe, impressive for sure. Really goes for the true barber experience where I can butcher peoples haircuts. Controls feel responsive and the attention to detail is nice, I particularly enjoyed the tv interaction with the saxophone guy hair request. Visuals are great and pair well with the satisfying sfx. Music is also really nice to have in the background and fits the aesthetic so well

Developer(+1)

We're happy you mentioned saxoman! It's quite the hard cut for this one.  The wanted man on the news is also hidden somewhere! Hehehe >:) thanks for playing the game!

Submitted(+2)

I love this idea and how nice and responsive the game feels! Very impressive that only two people worked on this too!

Developer

Thank you! we are very proud of how it came out, been a crazy week!

That Game Boy green palette and the little barbershop set are so charming - I gave her a haircut she absolutely did not ask for.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

It's times like this I wish we had an online gallery for all the results so far, I feel like y'all are wild...

Thank you so much!

Submitted(+1)

i really like the concept and the fact that i can relate to barbers giving bad haircuts reflects the theme. the sounds, the music and visuals are so satisfying. i really enjoyed cutting and buzzing to create the most horrendous amazing haircut you will ever see.

look how he loves that haircut!!!

Developer(+1)

I'm sure they were all thrilled, lil guy so excited he doesn't know where to look anymore!
