I really like the visuals and animations. It’s a pretty fun short game where you inspect food to see if it’s poisoned or not. The process of testing the food for poison can be intense, or you can eat it yourself to save time, but at some risk. Nice job on the game!

Great game, love the visuals, but very repetitive gameplay

Great game! Loved the visuals lol

It was so much fun that I didn't even realize I played it multiple times. I got to see both the lose screen and the win screen. The low-poly style suits the game really well, it creates an ambience. The game fits the theme nicely. I also loved the mechanic of dragging the foods. Excellent work for a 3 person team!

Very cool idea for a game. I love the creepy voice and ps1 graphic style. Personally I think the screen noise effect is to much. I get the atmospheric part but it make it hard to see stuff on the plate and got really stressful on the eyes.

It also took me a while to realize I could eat the stuff myself :D maybe I miss the explanation, but when I found out about it the game become really fun!

Great work!

This style is so damn cool!!! How did you even think of making the introduction on the page into this dynamic diamond-shaped screen? Nailed it!!!

The visuals really look like a broken TV screen, and have such a strong Russian vibe. The voice lines rushing you while you're tasting the food were really creepy tho 😭(LOVE IT!!!

One of the best games on this jam. Visuals are sublime, and game is well polished

It's fascinating how you managed to make experience dynamic without losing the horror tension
Would be cool to have other tactile mechanics like opening cans with food or heating it up in microwave while boss waiting for his food to be tested

Developer

Thanks !

The idea of oppening cans is really good ! Thanks for it !

Very funny concept, I had a blast!

Really unique  concept.  One of the best games I played so far. The atmosphere, artstyle and gameplay fit so well together. Great work!

This game is really cool, and a great concept. I only wish that it was longer! As soon as I was getting the hang of things, it seemed like my debt had already been paid off. Great visuals, hard bass, and wonderful gameplay. Nice work

Wow, this is so cool I’m at a loss for words! I’ve been sitting here playing it non-stop. It gave me *Buckshot Roulette* vibes but with a really fresh take. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! The sound design and SFX are top-notch. Add multiplayer to the mix, and this game could really sell well. I still can't believe this was made for a game jam and that I'm playing it for free. Fantastic work, one of the best entries I've seen in the jam!

Developer

Thanks !!

I am curious, how would you saw it in multiplayer?  Cooperation with friends to tastes plates, or competition, like the quicker to have the good answer, or something else?

Submitted

You know *Machine Party*? It has a mini-game about eating peas, it would be cool to implement something like that. You’d just compete with friends on speed or on who gives the right (or wrong) answer, though it would be great to expand the mechanics and maybe add a variety of ingredients,  that’s really up to your vision, but a co-op element feels like a natural fit here.

Didn't know this game, I will take a look ! Thanks !

Nice game!

Really cool idea and great execution of it lol. I loved the visuals and the dancing at the end. Really good twist on the theme as well. Like, top 3 games this jam lol.

Check out my game too if you have the time <3

Pretty interesting game but time system needs a rework. Before I even understood what to do I already got complaints. Then I got shot. It's also near impossible to serve food. Really cool idea, visuals are superb but the mechanic needs more polishing.

Developer(+1)

Hello, thanks for the feedback. What do you mean by "It's also near impossible to serve food" please ?

Submitted

I drag the food into test, the feedback comes too late and it also destroys the food I believe. So what I am going to serve? Then I also drag it to the safe area but it doesn't recognize instantly, I moved it couple times to feed the guy.

Developer(+1)

Oh, I see. You don't have to serve individual ingrediant. You are judging the plate as a whole. If a potatoes is poisonned, all the potatoes in the plate will be poisonned, and the plate as a whole is not safe

Submitted

Yeah, I thought the other way. Interestingly I thought in every wrong way possible. Game development!

Developer(+1)

(Yo ! Artist answering there to complete hehe :) )
You have to click on the button "safe", ",not safe" to choose; You can't drag & drop on the button.
That's for sur why it wasn't working !

Submitted

Damn! When dragged the food I thought everything should be dragged. OK, I will play again.

Fantastic Game. Thank you.

OMG That is the most interesting game I've seen thus far. Love the PSX art style. I'm amazed at the amount of polish you did for this game. The mechanic is also really fun, it fits the theme really well. I might not notice it but I was testing the poison all the time and barely taste the food myself or sending it out raw, may I suggest adding a timer? This feels a lot like Buckshot Roulette in terms of the idea, art style and polish. If you guys can polish it out more, it would rocks! Kudos to you!

Submitted(+1)

The polish in art and music is fantastic! The gameplay was maybe a bit too simple for a bigger game, but I would have loved to see more. The dancing really cracked me up :D

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed the aesthetic and the core loop - simple but really fun! It took me a second to figure out I needed to click on safe vs non-safe as opposed to sorting the food by moving it around. Once I figured that out though I had a lot of fun.

Submitted(+1)

I love the aesthetic here and the gameloop is simple and fun. Honestly with different music it could be a really cool horror game, and instead I was just vibing (which maybe was the purpose).
Good work!

Great game. It reminds me a little of Arctic Egg. I loved the music.
