I adore cool deduction puzzles. Especially with such a cute artstyle. Fits the theme perfectly.

I'm impressed by how many unique characters and scenarios you packed in here.  The visuals and audio are very charming.  Everything is very well executed.  Excellent work!

Ohh another magical purple cat!

The theme led to a lot of lie deduction games it seems but this one is a real stand out. The consistency that everyone lies made the deduction more fun and a smart move to hold back on animating the characters to allow for every level to have a unique cast without any recurring models.

I also love the extra polish of the cat reacting when clicked on!

Amazing game! Art is gorgeous and the concept fantastic for the theme. Really well done!

Super minor things that would have helped:
1. The characters having their names above their heads or something, as you only learn their names talking to then. I know many are a bit obvious, but it's just a simple thing that would have helped to reduce a bit of the back-and-forth of reviewing information.
2. Most of the dialogue/action is gated by clicking to the next bit of dialogue with the arrow buttons except the interludes... it'd be great if they also paused after each message to allow advancing, as I'd get used to being able to just read at my own pace during interrogation and then suddenly everything's advancing without me doing anything. I know it's a cutscene, but losing that control was just the tiniest bit jarring.
3. Some of the dialogue audio (think it was vampire group) is a lot louder than the rest of the audio.
4. Indicator of which puzzle of total I'm on.
5. At end ability to go back and re-play failed puzzle.

I think there was at least one puzzle where someone said "I didn't do it." and if you verify that one, then that solves the puzzle. That'd be fine for maybe the first puzzle, but defeats the purpose of logical deduction a bit. So, it'd be nice to see a bit more subtlety to the clues.

I did find myself not using the total number of lies as much, I guess if there's characters which can corroborate their stories, then that can help you deduce what the truths are without verifying explicitly and zero in on the lies. I'm trying to think how this could be extended further into a larger game, and I'm not too sure. But as a minigame for a jam like this, it was most excellent and a great play! Thanks!

Love the art and the quirky characters! :D

Glad the game continues even if you wrongfully accuse someone. The writing is nice too, good job! ☆

pretty good game nice strategic murder mystery type game

A very polished and enjoyable logic puzzle game! It fits the theme really well, and the concept is genuinely interesting. The puzzles are challenging enough to make you think, but never feel overly difficult.

The visuals are simple and clean, which fits the game perfectly. This game has a lot of potential, and I’d love to see it developed into a full indie game someday!

I'm so impressed by how quickly you made this! I'm absolutely in love with the artstyle and writing in particular. I'd love to see more! :D

Developer

I'd love to expand it after the jam a bit, thanks for playing !!

Wow! Such a well done game. Honestly, this is all my game tried to be and its just executed so much better. Really loved and enjoyed this game <3

Developer(+1)

I appreciate it, glad you enjoyed!!

Really loved the diversity of all the characters! This is insane for a game made by 1 person in a week.

The cat was also very cute :) The rat one was quite funny lol

Developer

Thanks for your kind words, I did overdo it with the scope of characters but I feel it was worth it in the end !!

Very fun game!
Not much to say in terms of feedback. While reading the statements for the first time. I did wish the names of each character was displayed on screen so I could immediately know who the statement was about.

Developer

That's not a bad idea, at least maybe some indicator of who they are

Beautiful, clever, cozy, cute full and complete video game experience! I followed your progress on Discord during the jam, finally found the game and enjoyed playing a lot! For real, I mean it, a lot!

Nothing to critique here, execution is solid, the game it self is a gem of this game jam!

Oh yeah, one more thing. I believe you should try placing one of this guys on the game’s thumbnail, probably it will get more attention and increase you game’s CTR and thus your game will be played by more people.

Thanks for playing, I'll see about changing the thumbnail later to something more gameplay representing.

Submitted(+1)

I like how unique every character is. Also, when judging a character, the animation is really satisfying, especially when you accuse correctly. Good game!

Developer

Thank you , I was really heavily inspired by the Professor Layton Series for those small cut scene bits

This has a certain charm to it, I love this! I need more party to send to jail hehe. The only thing missing here was background music, the sound effects were all chosen beautifully so that's not too bad. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing !! There was background music for the game I have not heard any issues with it playing so far? It may be a browser Issue as I only had time to Test it fully on Firefox

Submitted(+1)

I just tested it out on firefox, for some reason, still no background music QwQ,,, maybe it's a pc thing. Thanks for the heads up!

Developer

Ah damn maybe, sorry you had a issue I'll have to keep an eye on it if its a build issue.
