How does the game fit the theme?
You play a variant of the prisoners dilemma. The game revolves around trusting or betraying your opponents to make money to escape hell.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Pretty innovative and visually resembles old dungeon crawling games I used to play on MS-DOS.
I’m not really sure I understood the rules but got through a good few opponents.
Nice work overall!
The real treasure is the friends you make along the way, and I made plenty! Effie is the nicest snake I've ever met, I hope she can make it to the Heaven one day. In the end I was betrayed only once and still had enough to pay all tolls. Great game, I liked almost everything in it (didn't like the angel, such a jerk)!
I really enjoyed this game! The tutorial was written well and effective. The game was easy to learn, and I liked the effects of the items in the shop. I also appreciated the clear structure to the game and the 10 icons up top to show progression. I liked how much personality each demon had too.
We love our boi terd. Really fun game. I love the under tale style and just the overall vibe of the game. I also enjoy the personalities of each of the demons we fight LOL, really enjoyable and interesting concept.
A very interesting take on the prisoner's dilemma to say the least.
Great game!
Excellent presentation and execution! Although most assets seem to be 3rd party and simple, the integration of everything was very well - each animation and sound effect was perfectly placed, and made everything very enjoyable to play.
The gameplay was more interesting then expected - the stuff you can buy from the shop and the relationship really make these fun. I will say that my strategy for all monsters was to start by hedging, slowly build my relationship, and betray them at the end. I did buy the item that reveal the chances for one monster, which seem to prefer the extremes no matter what I did. I assume the goal was for me to deduce this, but honestly I'm not sure 5 games is enough for this.
The starting dialog made me lauge, which is always a good thing. Amazing job!
Love me some prisoner's dilemma. I quite liked the writing, all of the opponents have very strong voices which makes them easy to attach to. Punchy SFX, nice visuals. I feel the only thing missing is a bit of music to set the tone but the silence is reminiscent of old games these visuals evoke, so eh. Nicely done!
Really nice concept. Would have been better with more sound effects and ambiant sounds, but other than that, GG, it's well executed!
Very cool game! Visuals feel very polished, and the game fits the theme well! Very much enjoyed it, and though I didn't beat it, I'll probably come back later this jam to try and beat it! Keep it up :D
edit: got to the pearly gates after another few tries
It needs a fullscreen mode. Cool concept. A few button click animations/effects wouldn't hurt either
Really solid game. More fun than I thought it was and before I knew it I had completed the game
I really liked how the dilemmas where always a bit different sometimes even with this special yellow field. That was really fun to play. And the Characters feel well written to me with the Dialogue and actions they took.
How the Dilemma is shown is also really good because it shows how your choice and the others choice would affect each other.
Love me a good prisonners dilemna.
Neat looking game, got to the pearly gate on first try. The prisonners dilemna is always a nice concept to dance around but It can really get stuck upon itself when it's too deterministic. Here, I think it never reaches its full potential.
It's fairly easy to max relationship with every single demon by loosing a few coins on their first rounds. Then it's smooth sailing until the end by spamming "Share" every turn. Relationship stay maxed out, coins keep pouring in and everyone is happy, but it's a death sentence for excitement. I feel like having more varied encounters with more defined character would make the game a lot more enjoyable, like a demon that would betray even at high relationship. It would vary gameplay and make first encounter more of a gamble.
The same goes for items, their effects are varied and interesting, it's avery great touch. But they're so cheap that it's trivial to get yourself a full arsenal before midgame. It's a shame as it's the most interesting part of the game, you have some really neat ideas going there.
Still, solid entry, great interpretation of the theme. It just need some balancing.
