Fun fact: I found your game long ago and forgot to play, but you played ours and reminded me I wanted to try :)

Cool game! Just felt like movement is too slow and lacked the visual feedback when you get damaged.

Several tries, almost survived the 10th wave. But some of them spawn too fast right where I was and immediately killed me :(

Some upgrades felt like giving not much sense...Dont recall details, but I feel like there was one, that increased damage and CD that all together left me with the same dps as it was - pretty questionable upgrade I think :)

Developer(+1)

yea there is some bugs that we encounterd while developing. we just noticed them right before the deadline. anyways thanks for you feedback!

Submitted(+1)

It kind of felt like a puzzle game, trying to find the best combo of upgrades that didn't shoot you in the foot too bad. All the upgrades having a downside was pretty cool and was good for replay-ability.  It is sort of just a survivor like style game, and aside from the upgrade system being a little different I maybe would've liked to see more in the way of tricks or more ways you could deceive the player.

But overall, simple and well executed. Good job.

The effects are all really cool, but I do wish the walk speed was a bit faster, or that there was some kind of dash/dodge. I still got pretty far without that though. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah dash is actually a cool idea, thank you for the review, we really appreciate it

This game is great! The 3D models are very impressive, and the upgrades for the abilities are very fun especially with the secret added downsides

Developer

Thank you for the review, we really appreciate it

Pretty fun game! The upgrade system is really well designed. It's not just a simple power up system, but a trade off of one trait for another. It kind of fits the theme in a way. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for the review, we really appreciate it

good game!! 3D in browser is always nice, and I like the aesthetic you went with
great job!

Developer

Thank you very much, tbh I'm surprised with myself on how good the character models came out and I'm really glad to see that you loved it too.

Submitted(+2)

The upgrades are so much well designed and i love playing it , trying to run for my life haha

Developer

We did make players movement speed on the slower side which  we kinda regret, but it does create a bit of claustrophobic situations where you're being surrounded and begging for your skills to deal enough damage to give you even one more second, thank you for the review tho, we really appreciate it

Submitted(+1)

i love how all the upgrades have a catch and the game is overall so polished

Developer

Thats very nice to hear, thank you for you feedback

Submitted(+2)

The upgrades were well designed and making them have a "catch" is a interesting take on the theme. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed our game

Quite engaging and polished! Weapon and upgrade choices matter. I needed a few attempts to finish, and I enjoyed it. I like the auto-fight where you just control your position. The given upgrade percentages seem like they're not to be trusted too ;) Encountered a bug once, after my health was restored, the game field disappeared, while the sounds of fight continued, and I needed to reload the page. A small animation accompanying the final might be a nice addition. Overall, great job on your second game!

Developer(+1)

So far I've seen/heard of two bugs including this one and they both happen on wave 5, very interesting, also yeah we wanted to even make a small cutscene in the end but we just ran out of time, thank you for your feedback tho we really appreciate it

Submitted(+1)

Interesting take on the theme! I thought the angel was going to take my health instead haha. It would be nice if there was some fake powerups. Overall good job I enjoyed it :D

Developer(+1)

Actually now that you mention it making angel take your life instead is a really cool idea, thanks for the review, we really appreciate it

Submitted(+1)

actually a nice idea that I never see before, and its quite well made, also the gameplay is enjoyable, I'm biased cus I like these type of games lol, very well done

Developer

Tysm for the review, we are glad you enjoyed our game.

really cool game! I really like the concept of getting a debuff along with the buff. The only advice for u i have is that i wish there was some indication of the damage being taken. a simple audio effect mightve been good as I didnt realise that i was taking damage from the enemies cuz both them and i were so slow.

overall good game well done!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback we really appreciate it

I was confused about how the waves worked until I noticed there was a timer (I didnt notice it until round 6) with that plus the no enemy hit indicator there were several times where I thought I died but actually beat the wave.  I liked the art direction and tbh had you not mentioned the shader stuttering in the description I might not have noticed at all.  As for the gameplay Im not really sure what to say about it, its kinda like i guess bland, ultimately it was just click on one of these upgrades and then run around in a circle, if it had one more element to it or if the upgrade choices felt like they mattered a little more I think it would have been a lot more fun. (dont take this as a bad review, I rated it well, just giving some honest feedback)

Developer

Yes obviously I appreciate your feedback and cant thank you enough for putting that much effort into the review of our game, we started on the whole buff/debuff mechanic a bit too late which caused it to be kinda boring and random, if we were to finish this game in the future reworking that mechanic would be the first step, again thank you for you feedback.

Submitted(+1)

Interesting take on the genre, but the execution feels weak simply because you never really know what’s coming. As a player, I basically have no control over the debuffs — I’m going to get them anyway.

I think the player should be given some kind of choice, for example:

  1. Sacrifice some HP to remove a debuff.
  2. Skip the upgrade this time, but get a double buff and one debuff next time.

And the running is honestly terrible in terms of speed. It feels like you’re trying to run in a dream.

Developer

Yeah not giving player more choices and control is probably our biggest regret about this game, thank you for your feedback though we really appreciate it.

Submitted(+1)

The game is good! Typical gameplay, nothing new; found player speed is too slow. Idea is great while taking buffs you get defbuff as well, Visual Effects were cool, Game becomes diffcult later! one suggestion add pickups that also give fake promisies. Cheers and all the best!

Developer(+1)

tysm for your feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I like your approach on this idea, since we take buffs for granted and debuffs are always visible to the player. For me, the movement of the player is slow for me but that's how these kind of games work, also you can add indicators like bright flashes at the edge of the screen when the player got hit, cuz sometimes I didn't even realized I got hit. But overall a good game.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback we really appreciate it

The approach to "trust no one" by making it so you can't trust the buffs you choose is a very cool idea!

The attacks are very neat, and I like that you got that survivor's gameplay of looping the enemies around! Definitely feels like Brotato/Vampire Survivors!

The weapon balancing is a little strange, blood spell is probably the best, especially with that "attack all enemies in range" buff.

I only tried out the sword, but it's very lackluster compared to the other weapons considering its crowd control is subpar for what it's supposed to do. I was expecting it to follow the player, but it's left behind as you walk, cutting its range + effectiveness significantly.

The font choice is a bit hard to read though.

I enjoyed the game though, I even made it past the final wave! Good work!

Developer(+1)

Yeah I would say that combo of blood spell with target all enemies buff and lightning spell with target all enemies is the strongest one in the game, we were aware about slash just being left behind, but we just couldnt figure out how to fix it :D, Thank you so much for your feedback tho we really appreciate it

Submitted(+1)

I really love that the abilities get overpowered very quickly, made the game alot of fun.

Also a cool idea to make the game about surviving a certain time not killing enemies.

Awesome work, well done!

Developer

tysm for feedback man

Submitted(+1)

This was pretty enjoyable. It's more of an idle game, right? I got to wave 6/10. I found it difficult especially in the beginning. I was hoping to get one-time health things for an upgrade instead of only upgrades. I have seen these in like rogue-like games so I think that would help! The art is very pleasant.. the whole vibe reminds me of Runescape (the good old school classic version!)

Developer(+1)

Yeah main inspirations were vampire survivors and brotato, it is a bit poorly balanced cause if u know all upgrades its very easy and if u dont some debuffs just screw you and it become very difficult, tysm for feedback.
