How does the game fit the theme?
The game is a logic puzzle with some exploring. As a prisoner, you must question the other prisoners about how to escape. All will lie except one, so you can trust no one's answer. I found this theme hard; it took me four days to come up with a reasonable idea that I could complete. I wish the game had a more in-depth questioning system, but the limited time meant I had to keep the scope small, so only a superficial clue system was implemented.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Art assets: about 75% were created and extended my existing Black-and-White Dungeon Tileset. All animations, except for the main player (which reused existing animations), were created for this jam. The tileset was mostly redrawn and extended with 50% new tiles; I was fixing issues with the previous tileset I had created.
All art and animation were created using Aseprite.
The game was created using Unity, with Rider. 80% or more of the code was written from scratch during the jam, with Copilot disabled. 15% was reusing my own existing code. 5% was generated code to solve a single bug fix that I could not solve on my own.
For text, I use Grammarly because I am dyslexic; it makes generative suggestions and corrections to make my writing at least readable.
Sound and music are from Pixabay. Some sounds were modified and cropped using Audacity.

cool game and visuals really nice
Wow, the animations are so well-done! The game is super cohesive and I like the exploration style.
Thank you for playing.
I loved this; it was quite charming and fun. The art style was extremely enjoyable, as were the animations, my favorite being the falling one. Anywho, I got it on the first try, but went back to explore all the other secret areas and NPC's. :)
Yep, even without any clue, you have a 1:7 chance of picking the right exit. More time, I would like to have a mechanic to lock the exit untill at least a certain number of clues are found. Thank you for playing.
Of course! Thanks for playing mine as well.
Fun puzzle. Love it when they say "Test"
What a fun little experience! I love the tip "Test" from the old man hahahah (small placeholder there still I suppose xD) , but nonetheless, a simple and fun game that explores well the theme. Good job!!
You are not the first to see that bug. Found the issue: there are seven possible exits; each should have a list of clues. Unfortunately, two of them do not have the correct ScriptableObject and have a placeholder. I have made too many changes to be fixed quickly. Thank you for playing.
Been there, done that, no warm, I just thought it was funny hahaha
I loved the falling into the pit animation! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Thank you for playing. I am quite proud of the falling death; it was good fun to animate and make.
ワアアアアアアア!!(DEATH)
Thank you for playing.
That was fun! I especially liked the sound design — it fits the game really well and adds a lot to the overall vibe. Nice work!
Thank you for playing
Very simple to grasp, probably too simple for me but this was a good experience,. Good job!
Fair critique. With more time and more coding experience, I hope to do better in future game jams.
After playing your game, I can see why the lack of depth is too simple for you.
I like how you can get straight to the game. It's clear, simple and right to the point. Nice job!
Thank you for the feedback
Cute game, love the art. The sudden scream is great. Minor bug I got a few time. The NPC's first line would display but subsequent lines just read "Test" dying and trying again fixed it.
Thank you for the feedback and bug report.
I came across a bug in development: Scriptable Objects were not attaching to the NPC prefab. I think that when the overhaul dialogue system is implemented, it might remove the bug.
The pixel art is beautiful. I really liked this one overall. I think try again should take you back directly to the game instead of the intro screen (since deaths are plentiful). Also the dialog goes a bit fast. Your ideas for future iterations on this seem cool!
Thank you for the feedback. Better dialogue is on my list of things to learn. I could have turned on copiolot/chatgpy or copied some code in, but it's not really learning. It would be nice to have the chat appear to type out, and also end/or select the next line of dialogue. However, a choice had to be made on what to develop in the time given; improving the chat just narrowly missed out.
Your point about the intro screen is valid, and it would be smoother if it had a choice to play again (straight to game) or go to the menu.
one truth teller in a room of liars is a clean logic puzzle setup and the stark black and white tileset suits a dungeon of liars. the crowd of silhouettes on the title screen is a nice touch, good solo scope call
Hi, dude I love your game :D
The minimalist-yet-fun-and-understandable visuals and audio are really good, the game is short and fun. Your gameplay & plot ideas work well too !
Also this death is delicious:
Thank you for the feedback, for those who are older might know the callback to Jet Set Willy, who intern stole the idea from Monty Python
I don't know Jet Set Willy. Should I try to find the game ? Is it good ? (I love the Monty Python films <3)
:o Ok now I want to play (and I will watch the entire video after I've played other jammer's games)
Love the death animations :D
Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed.
I really love the art and contrast between colors you created, enjoyable game overall. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback. It was something that I was going for; just adding that splash of colour enhances the look
The game's atmosphere and graphics are cute; I found it quite funny how the character's "ahhhhh" scream suddenly breaks the silence.I thought that was amusing. Perhaps you could explain the controls to the player when the game starts?
Thank you for the feedback. I totally forgot to add instructions (I will add them to the game page, at least)
