A really charming experience, and the title cracked me up, however the parrying during combat wasn't as easy and intuitive and I found few bugs, such as on second attempt to fight the Court's Knight again, the attack froze for me - I was able to click on other elements, but nothing was happening. It took me couple of times refreshing the game and thankfully it did save your progress as otherwise I wouldn't have tried playing again, but if it wasn't for the story and the artstyle, the gameplay loop itself wasn't as engaging combat wise. Overall however, I do think it's a good attempt at game and a small charming experience in this jam. Congratulations!
Really fun! The dialogue SFX are a little rough, but that’s not a big deal. The game design is really great! Kudos for managing to include all those combat mechanics!
Parrying is sometimes a little tricky to pull off—I think it could use some visual or audio cues. Also, in the interface, I would have liked to see a health bar for the opponent.
I didn’t manage to beat the prince, but I’ll be back! :D
This was a really challenging & fun game! The mechanics offer a lot of challenge both in terms of decision making & timing, and the story itself was engaging to go through. The only thing for me though is that maybe the timing for both the parries & the attacks can be a bit more forgiving, but overall this was great!
Incredibly beautiful game! The intro panels are out of this world.
As other comments have mentioned already, it was a bit hard to time attacks/parries since the indicators when to click were quite unclear. That'd be a cool fix in a future version!
I love this game's art, and the combat system is so original — I'll probably need to spend more time getting the hang of it.
i absolutely LOVE the art and the STORY! i really enjoyed playing this game, even though i had difficulty to aim my attacks and parry accurately. also the fact that u cant even trust the teacher who gave u the tutorial to fight is spot-on with the theme xD
extremly impressive art for a game jam, the game really feels like it could be developed further as it is very addictive. The parrys could just be a bit easier to hit.
Absolutely fantastic jam submission, the lore, gfx, sfx and music top. The only part I wasnt sure if it was me or the game struggling was the hit accuracy at enemy attacks.
the manga panel intro of the whole court turning on her and then picking the cell lock with an earring is a great opening, and the pink on grey art with the rose bordered text boxes is some of the best looking work in the jam. betrayed by literally everyone is the theme with no notes, lovely work
Genuinely enjoyed playing this game! I especially loved the art. Your team did an amazing job. Congratulations!
This was amazing, I loved everything about it!!! The only thing I struggled with a bit was how to fight - I didn't know that you had to click on the "A" when your attack was near the person, & so I just kept hitting the "Attack" button & wondering why I was missing. Beautiful artwork, lovely sound design, & overall, a very fun game!❤️
Very fun game, I LOVE the art. The style is so nice to look at. The ui is incredible. My only complaint really is that its really hard to tell how to get the timing for your hits/dodges. Some kind of indicator for that would be nice. But seriously, fantastic job on this one.
Enjoyed this one.
Wasn't able to finish, I got all of the items but the 2nd and 3rd seemed to do nothing? Not sure if continuing after getting hardlocked at the start of some fights messed something up (winning a fight in the middle of a boosted string of attacks seemed to consistently trigger the hardlock).
An indicator of the timing needed for the timed hits would help, I eventually figured out everything but parrying the knight sword (unless it's impossible to fully parry that?)
The game looks pretty and wish I could’ve seen more but I was stuck fighting the knight. All my attacks missed except when blocking and even with doing that 6 times, I still lost :/
such a pretty game i love good art like this, very well made too polished in every aspect, I liked it good job u u guys!!
