In this in minesweeper the 1's are not always telling the truth, so you should trust no one :)

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything made from scratch besides sfx and fonts (downloaded).

Those strikes really do their job! Nice entry.

I've seen multiple games that try the 1s can't be trusted in minesweeper but out of all them so far, this one does it best. I like that there is mechanic to call out 1s for being a lie to reveal what they actually are. I think it helps balance the experience and makes it so much more fun. Amazing work!

Thank you so much!

Love minesweeper! And loved the twist on it. Even my game has parts inspired by minesweeper, so it was fun to see another game inspired/derived from it.

Thanks for checking it out!

Loved it, it feel like such an obvious thing but only after you see it. For players that have played a lot of minesweeper (me) it rewires your autopilot and makes you rebuild a skill you have, which is a great feeling; the visual/audio feedback and style are very lovely as well, and it is obviously fun to play minesweeper; since finding ones is such a cornerstone of playing minesweeper (at least to me) i wonder if there are situations where you purely would have to moreso take a chance than guess, if a one clears an area or it was actually a 2, playing a few games with normal difficulty i could always go about them a different route, but I'm curious to try it in hard as well.
Thanks for the game!

Glad you liked it!

Oh wow! It has been so many years since I last opened minesweeper on windows!
Very cool - simple and tasteful. And it works well.
I especially like how naturally the wordplay in the title ties into the jam theme.

Thanks!! The name only came to me in the last day and it was such a relief lol

Such a simple idea to change the rules of minesweeper but it just freaking works! Doesn't need crazy visuals or anything. Very well done!

Developer

Thank you!!

I really liked playing minesweeper when I was younger, so maybe I'm a little biased for a nice new challenge when it comes to minesweeper. I think this is a really good execution of turning "trust no 1" into a minesweeper game. The challenge is good, I died a couple of times forgetting I had to doubt the damn 1s, and had to slow down to re-strategise how I would go about "reading" the numbers.

Well done! I really like this!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

I think of myself as a good minesweeper player but this was hard, in a good way. Not been able to trust the 1s changes the strategy of the game quite a lot, without turning it into pure chance.

The sounds effects and visual feedback help the game fell more "alive".

Thanks for checking it out!

i had the same idea and im glad you executed it so perfectly!

Great interpretation of the theme!

Developer

Thanks!

Brilliant, sir. This was an excellent execution. The look of it brought me back to my old windows XP days (well actually, XP never looked that good), and the FX were well done.

I "quit" on the first day of the jam because it was the one theme I had no ideas for. You took the theme literally and then made it fun. I'm so jealous. This is going on my favs list.

I beat hard mode on normal size and I'm afraid to try any larger map. Crazy how throwing just a few fake 1's really messes with your mind

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah, for me it took sometime for the muscle memory of regular minesweeper to go away. I still haven't beat it on larger size so I don't blame you lol

Thanks!

Amazing. An original twist on the Minesweeper formula incorporating the theme.

I had a lot of fun playing it and trying the different difficulty levels!

Thanks for playing!!

I like your version of Minesweeper, really cool to see other make their own version for the game. I wish there would be an easy level because I couldn't win any game XD ! Well done!

Developer

Thank you!!

I'm not good in Minesweeper, never understood the rules lol. But I can see some of my friends playing this! Also, the twist on Minesweeper was great! Great job!

Developer

Thanks! Hope they like it as well :)

I can't even win a normal Minesweeper and lost in this one also! But had fun playing in this; the 1 did lie, though.

Developer(+1)

He sure did. Thanks for playing!

I suck as normal minesweeper and this makes it even harder. I really enjoyed it!

Thanks for checking it out, glad you liked it!

Damn literally had this idea while brainstorming! Really good execution of it. It makes it extra stressful not being able to trust any 1. Good job!

Thanks for checking it out!

Fun interaction of minesweeper! Perfect for a game jam. Sadly, I'm terrible at minesweeper so I haven't beaten it yet but will keep trying!.

Developer

I believe you can do it! Thanks for playing!

I love Minesweeper! This was such a great twist. I could see myself playing this a lot more even after jam.

Developer

I find myself playing it a lot also! It's definitely hurting my time to try the other games lol
