Really nice concept
I liked the movement and i got a little freaked out the first time they were after me
Some sound effects would go nice when speaking or walking
Very nice
Excellent visuals and audio reminded me of TRON.
Is a good take on the theme and I like having trust as a currency. I would recommend the following:
1. I should not lost trust if I was been lied to, just when I push for the trust.
2. A timer on getting chase or the opportunity to hide.
My logic is Trust isn't just health it's a measure of the players own insanity and lack of ability to truly believe what they say especially when you start running low. You never lose trust from a good guy. Many people asked for the timer and it's definitely a good idea. Just not sure how to scale the timer so it's proportional to the larger mazes. I also wanted to add a mechanic where if you trust a good guy without a truth test you would receive trust back. I think this would balance your first critique. Thanks for the review! Will do the same for you
Quite a unique entry, love the way you interpreted the theme, good job on your game !
Bro game started so chilling and cozy, all of a sudden it turned into a intensive chasing haha! Nice little game and cool matching with the theme. Controls could be a little better but I liked the gameplay core, it was easy to engage and challenging at the same time.
Very fun. I like the maze concept and interactions.
Really cool game. I like the graphics. Gave it a high rating, bro!
The contrast between the calm exploration and the sudden shift into tense horror is brilliantly executed—that wrong hallway sound got me good! The mood lighting, ambient sounds, and random maze layouts build a super unique atmosphere.
A few small adjustments would take it even further:
- Adding audio cues or footstep sounds to the chasing chasers in Phase 2 so they don't jump-scare you from behind.
- Tweaking the movement controls/camera to feel a bit smoother in tight corners.
- Explaining the 25-trust requirement for Level 2 before reaching the end.
Fantastic entry overall! If you have a free minute, I'd really appreciate your feedback on my jam project as well: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4953523
Haha you are the second person to mention the 25 trust requirement? Could you explain it a little more? I tend to not like including "tutorials" because I think it takes away from the discovery of the emergent mechanics. Will definitely rate yours. Appreciate the feedback
good job, it's also a very unique game and nothing like i've seen ere before. the theme is also very vibrant and the gameply quite fun.
maybe there could be more sfx like getting closer to the orbs
hey good game bro!
thanks :=)
Honestly, I really enjoyed the unique mechanic and the contrast between peaceful moments and suspense. This is quite a refreshing game, really nice!
really good game polished one - interesting mechanic and idea - well done
This maze game was really interesting, like it had such a specific character movement system. The visuals were really unique and when I ran out of trust the game got super intense haha. I do not feel like the amount of trust I had was enough to make it through the maze.
Wow this game has an awesome atmosphere! I love the sound changes and the sfx. Very fun!
Looks nice. It's like my game ngl. You should add sounds to dialogue(like in undertale), and also it doesn't quite make sense that you lose trust by being damaged.. maybe you should change it to a different currency(like make the blood a currency and u give it to people in exchange for info). You should also add settings, but you can't expect that in a game jam game. Good game
It is a cool concept, the graphics are nice. I think a volume slider or the ability to adjust volume would be nice other than that this could turn into a cool game if you wanted to expand it.
really nice and simple game, i like the visuals a lot!
The look of the game is really cool. The game is fun and super on theme. The sound of going down the wrong hallway definitely jump scared me a few times.
Very cool game. I like the visuals and effects and I enjoyed playing it and trying to find my way out of the maze.
one thing I would recommend is maybe add sound to the balls that are chasing you on phase 2 few times I wasn't sure and the second I turned around or stopped they got me hahaha
very cool concept, like the visuals a lot!
the trust meter sitting in the corner while the arrows on the floor point who knows where is a nice setup. moody lighting too, that orb does a lot of work in the dark. good stuff
Interesting concept , fits the theme really well. I am not the biggest fan of the controls, good game overall!
