How does the game fit the theme?
This is a murder mystery game, where you, as a detective, have to talk to different people, search for clues and confront the suspects if needed in order to solve the case.
Although suspects help you with the case, but every people has something to hide. So, don't forget rule: Trust No One

Nice game. I loved the amount of interactions in the game, it made the game more immersive and story more engaging. Also liked the visuals. The menu was kinda buggy I had to press start 6 times to play the game. Maybe it was part of the theme matching. Alsoobject depth and layering need to be worked on.
Thank you for playing and sharing feedback. I was the writer. The start button is part of the story. Pay attention to the audio and connect it to what happens in the climax ;)
This was really cool, unfortunatly had to turn the audio off cause it was way too loud and the ingame slider wasnt working for me :') it was a cool story tho!
Thanks for playing, the volume slider was only suppose to show the "Trust no one" text as a sign to not trust it, my bad 😭

This is a rather interesting game in the detective genre, but I’ve noticed that many items either don’t have collisions and you can walk right through them, or there’s no sorting by Y.
Thanks for playing and I appreciate your comment, yes we had some problems with the tilemaps and some collisions related to it. They were less tested because of the time.

how did y’all manage to get the dialogues so good.. we gave up with our game and made each character have only few 1-depth dialogues
you guys did really good instant fav
Thank you for your comment :D, we had a great writer writing the dialogues so we only had to put them in the game, the time was really short to implement the game, we couldn't do it otherwise.
Thank you for playing and sharing feedback. I was the writer. I researched how police interactions go.
Love the music and writing! The dialogue felt real and I was getting annoyed that people weren't telling me everything lol, so props for that!
Thanks for playing :D, yes that's the problem with being a detective, I guess you should trust no one :]

The atmosphere is great, and the detective gameplay fits the theme really well! I also really like all the little details in the art and environments. Maybe it would look even better if the pixel scale were a bit more consistent across the visuals?
Yeah we needed to rush the art a lil bit because we miscalculated the scale of the story for what was possible to do in a week, so we focused more on coding and stuff. Thanks for the appreciation though!

Never heard of this game before trust. Never did anything to this game but 10/10 the peopel should definetly get 1st place
dude, you should write a book or something because the writing is really good! i really liked this game, the only problem for me is the sprites and some animations like the walking one as they fell a bit janky. overall great game
I really appreciate your feedback, I agree about the problems with some of the movements or sprite placements, we spend most of the time to implement the dialogue system and the story we put less time for them. Glad you liked it :D
Thank you for playing and sharing feedback. I was the writer. And I did write a book :D
Really nice fit for the theme. A murder mystery already makes you question everyone, but I like that even the people helping with the investigation have their own secrets, so you can’t just divide everyone into “suspect” and “trustworthy.” That makes the whole detective setup work naturally with Trust No One.

Great dialogues and overall, I was so not expecting that ending, it fit the theme so well.
Good job!

Wont spoil the twist at the end but it was really great! One critique I do have is that you avoid "Mixels" where you have objects with different pixel sizes in the same scene. Great game!
I appreciate your feedback, I was not really familiar with pixel arts, and we had to use some premade assets aside from our own design, at some places it felt unordinary. We had to go with that

I'm watching The Mentalist right now and your game is giving the same vibess. Props to the writing and narration, and the audio sets the right atmosphere - I'll continue playing for sure :)
Thanks for the nice comments! Being compared to the mentalist is a huge compliment :D

The music is nice, and the dialogue system is really complex! Nice game!

I'm still mid- game, but wanted to quickly take time out to write a comment. The game's pretty good overall, but theres two things that absolutely stand out
THE WRITING
AND THE SOUND
So well done, and perfectly fitting the theme. Really well executed game, and so far, the game seems pretty darn polished and bug free!
Heyy thank you for taking your time to play our game! I really appreciate your comment regarding the music. I'm the one who made those, and I was having a bad time on this specific area of making music (that's pretty much the reason I joined this game jam), so this kind of comment enlightens my heart more than anything.
I'll be playing your game in a few hours, hope I can do as much good for your day as you did for mine :D
I especially liked the theme that plays inside the studio :D
tho the gneral theme is calming and nice as well

Cool game! The concept is awesome, the music is nice, and overall it's great work.
Heyyy
I really appreciate it :D

I love the dialogues and how interconnected everything is, although i had to do something else so i was sadly not able to finish the game, but judging from what i saw currently (the PEAK music for EVERY single house), the beautiful art and how the clues actually correlate to the story and characters, the realistic interactions, is definitely worth a play! I'll come back, finish the game, and give it a rating once submissions open!
Heyyy
I really appreciate your feedback.
Make sure to comeback to see the ending, we have a little surprise for you there :D
