How does the game fit the theme?
since its about trust no one
having an interrogator game where you question suspects and nothing seems obvious makes up for the trust no one theme

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
we made all of the assets ourselves exept for tow addons for godot which the credits are included in the in-game's about panel

How many people worked on the game?

Pspspspurrfect submission. :3 Seeing the ''other bs'' option in the settings menu made me laugh at first. The game looks great, environment is phenomenal. I doubt I  used the notebook item to its full potential :D I took notes of all the times, names and pinned the photos I took. However I couldn't move some photos properly so they ended up stuck at the bottom of the page :( If the game continues development i think a feature to rearrange photos in the notebook should definitely be added. The sensitivity felt a bit weird. But the ambiance, visuals  and the idea already captivated me!

This is cool! If the game would've been a little bit more optimized, that'd be awesome, because it ran bad in my pc >:>

Developer (1 edit)

try the binary please… i will optimize more soon but Godot’s web is usually trash if its used for 3d

Developer

im asking this to check if even the binary ver needs optimization

the fisheye plus pixel filter on a 3d office with those big paws in frame is a really strong look, walked up to the desk with the rotary phone and the red string corkboard and was instantly in detective mode. cycling tools with e felt good too, nice work

Developer

thx :3

Dude this game is amazing! I love the shaders, and the plot! I will say I got it wrong the first time because I thought the call log would have shown going out calls too. I though tI caught Mia in a lie XD. I'm gonna follow you so I can see the game progress!

I really love this style. Super immersive, very well polished. Some feedback: I'd make a setting for the sensitivity, especially with 3D games; have an alternative inventory system, since it was easy to scroll past what you need; and for the dialogue, I'd make it so that when you press space, it completes the message before skipping it so that people don't miss the message. Apart from that, this is a really fun concept, and I'd love to see more of it. Well done!

Developer

thx for playing :3

“ I’d make a setting for the sensitivity” there is.. look in the controls tab in settings

“ have an alternative inventory system” hmm yea something like minecraft??

“and for the dialogue, I’d make it so that when you press space, it completes the message before skipping” yeah sounds right ill do

i love this game ! didn’t get the killer right, but it’s a skill issue on my part. I wish you could erase what you draw on the notebook, but it’s not that big of a deal. the visuals are great, and I enjoyed playing through it :)

Going for a 3D game was bold and you guys did great! Love that the music sounded kind of like a cat purring while you played as well.

Developer

ayy thx.. btw the cat purring was the most important feature to us..

we wanted to also add “paw baking” animation but we had no time

Oh I'm always a fan of pixel filters! Good game!

I like the visuals! Tools are pretty fun to use too, though being able to type in the manual would have been nice. My digital handwriting is no good haha. Well done.

Developer(+1)

thx.. we might add that soon (after the jam)

More of a dog guy, but I just loved this game. The art style is really good, little laggy on my end, but nothing catastrophic. Really like the game loop, and the dialogues are written really well! Great job boi.

Developer

thx.. and the binary version is there for anyone experiencing lag (Godot’s performance on web is garbage with the gl tenderer since Vulcan is not supported)

Amazing game! I feel like this game was made for me as a cat and crime-solving story lover. I loved the immersive notebook and how you actually collect evidence, and the purring is awesome. Great job, my favourite entry so far!

Developer

Loved this. Art style and general visuals are amazing, music and sound too! It's really polished and immersive, I got really into taking photos and writing, I'd love an eraser or smth like that lol. Awesome!

Developer(+1)

sounds like a great idea (but for that i will change the pen to something more like a pencil than the current ink pen)
