I really enjoy this game. the music and the graphic made a very good mood but I think the level that you're a cat was a bit too long and boring. good job.
Too much dialog in my opinion, love the way you implemented combat, felt quite nice !
Thank you! This was actually my first time writing a story and implementing it into a game, so feedback like this gives me a lot of valuable experience for next time.
I’m glad you enjoyed the combat!
I quite enjoyed this. It looked and felt nice to play. My only gripe is that the dialogue was quite a lot (obviously so being story driven) and I felt like half of my experience was spent trying to speed up the dialogue boxes. Other than that, I'm very impressed with what you did here.
I’m glad the overall experience worked well for you.
I agree that the amount of dialogue can feel a bit heavy, especially in a jam setting. That’s definitely something I’d want to balance better next time.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Incredible amount of content with only 1 dev! This is closer to a game demo then Jam project. For me UI and text system was highlight and one of the cleanest and nicest looking one in Jam!
This is one of those games that makes me question did we really have the same amount of time for our games :D. Straight up inspirational.
Thank you! I spent quite a bit of time experimenting with the amount of dialogue and how to keep the UI readable without getting in the way of the combat.
I’m glad that part worked well for you!
Bird helper. Check.
Dope combat. Check.
Creepy music. Check
Are you inspired by Kingdom Hearts? Because I totally got that vibe.
I do hope you expand this into a full release, very fun!
Thank you! Kingdom Hearts wasn’t actually an inspiration for this one, so I’m a little surprised to hear that — but I’m really glad it gave you that kind of vibe.
Thanks for playing, and I’m happy you enjoyed it!
Hi ! You made an amazing work in the choice and mixing of your assets. The narrative and gameplay are wow-developed for a single person in a week !
I love the atmosphere of the game, and the gameplay is interesting.
Like others said, I found the combat system not very easy to manoeuvre (but for a 1-week jam it's still very impressive).
Thank you! I’m glad the atmosphere and overall mix of assets worked well for you.
I also agree that the combat could use more refinement, especially in terms of control and responsiveness. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
how bro what
10/10 every category this feels like a game made in at least half a year
you are the scope creep's final boss
Thank you! I probably did try to fit a bit too much into the scope this time, but I’m glad it came together well in the end.
凄いゲームだった! アクションは楽しいし、ストーリーも二転三転して先が予測できなかったし、テーマにも沿っていました。 1週間で作ったとは思えないボリュームでした。猫も可愛い! 「始めぇい!」で笑った。Good job!
アクションだけでなく、ストーリーやテーマの部分まで楽しんでもらえて嬉しいです
「始めぇい!」のところも気づいてもらえてよかったです(笑)
プレイしていただき、ありがとうございました!
This game is very beautiful!
I don't feel the combat was very good, idk how to explain it, It didn't really feel right.
And i didn't like the delay for the cat movement, you had to wait a little for her to get up.
Great job for the time period!
Yeah — I agree that the combat could use more refinement, especially in terms of the overall feel and responsiveness.
And good point about the cat movement too, the delay from the getting-up animation can make the movement feel a bit sluggish.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Amazing project dude . Its ready for release xD. Only 1 person damn. Great sound design scene design nice story amazing combat . Well done !
Thank you! I’m really glad the overall experience came together well for you
There are still a few things I’d like to polish, but I’m happy with how much I managed to put together as a solo project.
Best of the whole event! I can't believe this was made in just one week — absolutely amazing! :D
That means a lot, thank you!
I really pushed myself with this one, so I’m glad it came across that way
The extremely crazy art and sound effects... I've been staring at the scene background for a long time... I have already given you a rating.I'd like to hear your opinion about our game. Thank you!!
/jam/brackeys-16/rate/4950984
Thanks! I’m happy the visuals and sound left such an impression on you haha.
I’ve also played and rated your game already. Thanks for checking mine out!
Love the atmosphere and the mechanic of the game!
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the mechanics!
10/10 game! Absolutely astounding that this was made in one week! also I found a bug where if you use the triple slash in the boss arena you can clip through the wall
Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it!
And thanks for reporting the bug too — I completely missed that one ! Looks like the triple slash can push the player through the arena wall, so I'll keep that in mind for the post-jam fixes!
The art in this game jam literally looks like hollow knight. ITS SOO GOOD. I also love the sword unlocking animation. In my opinion I dont really like story games so there was a bit too much dialogue for me but there is a skip feature so thats fine. Really really good job and this game shows how much a solo dev can truly do in 7 days. This game is so sso great and so sword combact is also really really good. Amazing job!
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the visuals, animation, and combat!
And totally fair about the dialogue haha — this was my first time trying something this story-heavy, so I probably went a little overboard with it. That’s also why I made sure to include a skip option.
Really appreciate you playing and the kind words!
Could you also rate my game?
Of course! I’ve already rated it!
This one was one of the lengthiest games I've played during this jam and it takes so much effort making such game in such a short period especially by a solo dev. Well done! Would be great with some polishing especially with enemies attack (really short warning time and dodging wasn't much of use) but still pretty solid game. Well done!
Thank you so much! This was actually my first time trying both a more story-focused game and a side-scrolling action game, so even I thought I was a bit crazy when I came up with the idea haha.
I definitely agree about the combat too — I wanted to refine the enemy attacks and dodging more, but time was the biggest limitation this time.
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback!
A very well-made game! The game was polished and the narration is also good. Combat feeling is great and the camera work too! I think that adding some visual feedback on the player while resting to heal and also I had some difficulty jumping across the rock pillars.
Thank you so much! I definitely agree about the resting part — it could use more visual feedback to make it clearer that the player is healing.
And yeah, even I think the rock pillar section is a little difficult 😅
I wanted to give it a bit of a puzzle-like challenge, but I might have gotten a little too ambitious with it haha.
Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!
Looks awesome! Great use of asset packs.
Thank you! Glad you liked it! I tried to make the assets work together as naturally as possible.
I thought it looked visually great.
Thanks! Really glad you liked how it looked!
A lot of cool mechanics in here. Nice work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the mechanics!
