How does the game fit the theme?
The fact is, no one who farts in a meeting is ever going to admit it.
Of course they won’t.
Usually, we just move on.
But still, someone farted.
So...
TRUST NO ONE.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

You're telling me I did ALL OF THAT FOR A BLACK SCREEN????
At some point it's no longer about finding the needle in the haystack, about discovering the murderer. At some point everyone and their mother starts ripping ass and you have to sift through different colors and compare it to who's what color. These coworkers friggen suck like leave the room if you're just gonna start shitting your pants in public. At some point it's no longer passing gas and it becomes pouring gas. Comparing the particles in the air to the size of the character sprites reveal that there are centimeter+ sized food particulates flying through the air, often from multiple sources too. Do these guys even chew their food?? It's like MC is surrounded by animals...
It took me a while to find out that the characters also have a "dominate" color mainly shown in one photo in the description. I also think the size of the cloud depends on the size of the animal. Though I couldn't tell what causes the appearance of the "it was me..." message. I just clicked it and it worked haha.
I love the animations and the concept. I was surprised how difficult the game got when multiple clouds layered over one another, affecting the color due to color theory or something I don't know. Regardless my room smells distinctly worse, probably due to the placebo effect.
...it was me... I’m the one responsible for the missing ending... TT
The jam was just too short TTTT I really tried my best to draw everything in time, but looking back... maybe I should have sacrificed one character’s animations and finished the ending instead TT
We actually had the ending planned and partially made, but unfortunately we just couldn’t finish it before the deadline. We’re planning to complete it for the full version though, so one day all that fart investigation WILL have a proper conclusion!! XD
Also, the fact that you analyzed the size of the food particles compared to the character sprites is killing me. I never expected anyone to conduct a scientific investigation into whether our coworkers actually chew their food properly.
And yes, the character colors definitely needed to be explained more clearly! We originally planned a proper tutorial, but that was another victim of the jam deadline TT We’ll make that information much easier to understand and check in the full version.
As for “It was me...”... the hamster is actually a client of the company! So when the client farts, you have the option to take the blame for her... you shall sacrifice your dignity to solve a social problem.
The overlapping fart clouds changing colors was also something we didn’t really expect to become THAT confusing. Apparently we accidentally added color theory to fart investigation XD
Thank you so much for playing and for writing such a detailed (and hilarious) comment!! We’re really happy you enjoyed the animations and the concept.
And I’m sorry about your room.
We accept no legal responsibility for the smell. :P
really funny, the art is so good
Thank you so much!! So glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the compliment on the art! :D
Believe it or not, this is the 5th game I play that is about farts. You really can't trust people who fart secretly. Fun to play, pixel art was cute. In one of the levels I kept choosing the giraffe but nothing happened, it might be a bug? I chose him thrice but I didn't get stars deducted and I also didn't get the Level Finished screen?
Good game, nice implementation of the theme
The 5th game about farts?! 😭 I didn't realize there were so many of us hahaha
Thank you so much for playing and for letting us know about the giraffe issue! That definitely sounds like a bug, and we'll look into it when we're able to update the game after the jam.
Glad you enjoyed the pixel art and our interpretation of the theme!! XD
fun goofy charming game! this can easily be expanded further or add some features or unlocks if you ever wanted! it has some potential
Thank you so much!! We're really happy you enjoyed it! XD
We definitely have some ideas we'd love to add after the jam, especially since there were a few things we couldn't finish before the deadline. Hopefully we'll get to expand it a little more in the post-jam version! 👀✨
This was really fun and the visuals were amazing! i loved the animal's reaction when you select them! i think thought that you could have added some noises for the ui. Really well made!
Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the animal reactions and visuals! XD
We actually wanted to add more sound effects to the UI, but unfortunately we ran out of time during the jam 😭
Fun fact: our programmer even recorded fart sounds with her own mouth for the game... and we didn't even have time to put them in 😂
Thanks for the suggestion and for playing!!
The game is good and the art is just nearly an indie production game art level
Thank you so much!! I'm really happy you liked the art! That means a lot to me 🥹✨
The pixel art from the characters to the menu is so adorable and the music fits in very nicely. I love the silly vibes and the way each animal reacts to the investigation and points to someone else.
I'm sure it's been noted already but the screen going black if I press forward on the final level is a little weird.
Overall great work!
Thank you so much!! I'm really happy you liked the pixel art and all the silly animal reactions! XD
The black screen after the final level is actually where our ending was supposed to be! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to finish it before the jam deadline 😭
We’re planning to add it after the jam is over, so we hope you’ll come back and play again to see how the story actually ends! 👀✨
Thanks for playing all the way through!!
At first I had no idea what to look for the hints but I get it after there are 2 suspects. I didn't see the "Suspects" counter at first as well, and maybe there can be an indicator showing that how many suspects left I should find, cause I might lose track haha. But overall, this was a pretty silly little game with the goofy soundtrack!
Thank you for the feedback!! The indicator showing how many suspects are left is a really good idea! We were so focused on finishing everything during the jam that we didn't realize the Suspects counter could be easy to miss XD
Glad you enjoyed the silly vibes and goofy soundtrack!!
This one had such a funny concept. I loved lingering on all the characters and just seeing them vigorously shake their head like "nah it wasn't me". I think my only mini complaint is that I wish there were some UI selection noises when you clicked on people or accused them. I think it would've heightened the experience! I didn't understand it at first, but over time I came to understand that the fart clouds were related to what they ate and I thought that was a funny little detail to include. Nice game!
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!! We're really glad you figured out the connection between what everyone ate and the fart clouds XD
And you're absolutely right about the UI sounds! We ran out of time before we could add all the sound effects we wanted (our programmer even recorded fart sounds with her own mouth), so that's definitely something we'd love to improve after the jam. We're also really happy you enjoyed all the little character reactions!!
This was so much fun! The art style and character reactions when you're about to accuse them are pure gold. Piecing together who ate what makes for a really entertaining mini-mystery. Awesome job!
Thank you so much!! We're really happy you enjoyed piecing together all the little clues about what everyone ate XD And I'm especially glad you liked the character reactions! Making everyone panic when they're about to be accused was so much fun!!
Loved the way you used the colors to indicate who farted. Loved the soundtrack. Small nitpick is that after beating the 12th level, the screen just goes black.
You actually made it through all 12 levels!! That's amazing!! We honestly didn't expect anyone to make it all the way to the end XD
And yes, there was actually supposed to be a really cool ending after level 12, but unfortunately we ran out of time and couldn't get it into the game before the deadline TT It's probably the thing we regret not finishing the most!
Once the jam is over, we're planning to polish everything up and finally add the ending too!! Thank you so much for playing all the way through, and we're really glad you enjoyed the colors and soundtrack!
Loud bar goes silent.
Someone cut the cheese so loud...
Skunk looks far away.
Funny game!
A fart poem!! XD This might be one of my favorite comments we've received. Thank you so much for playing!!
The concept of the game is so funny lol I really like the visual, it fits the vibe of the game very well. Great work :)
Thank you so much!! We're really glad you enjoyed the concept and the visuals! We had a lot of fun trying to make the art match the silly vibe of the game XD
Great game please rate my game
Thanks for playing!! I'll check out your game too! XD
What a fun little game! I think what really stood out to me was the really impressive art. The characters reacting to you hovering over them with the accusation was hilarious! Great job!
Thank you so much!! I'm really happy you enjoyed the art and all their little reactions XD Making the characters panic when they're about to be accused was one of my favorite parts to work on!
Even though I still was quite a bit confused after having played it for a while, I still did enjoy myself and I think a big part of that was the charming character art and animations.
I think there were some UI and UX issues that made me struggle some, but it might also be that it is a quite hard guessing game.
Great use of the theme though!
Play-through with more feedback:
Thank you so much for taking the time to play our game and even recording a full playthrough!! We really appreciate all the detailed feedback!
We definitely agree that some parts of the UI/UX and the gameplay could have been explained more clearly. There were quite a few things we wanted to polish and add, especially the tutorial and some parts of the later levels, but unfortunately we ran out of time during the jam TT
Watching someone actually play through the game is incredibly helpful for seeing where things might be confusing from a player's perspective, so we'll definitely check out your video!
And thank you so much for the kind words about the characters and animations too!! We're really happy you still had fun with it despite the confusion XD
very funny concept! I really like how the characters react to being checked and point at each other; it’s awesome that this is in the game—it adds a layer of interactivity with the player. It’s just really cool!
Thank you so much!! We're really happy you noticed all those little reactions! We wanted the characters to feel like they were actually responding to the player's investigation, so it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed that part XD
I like their expression when i am about to accuse them lol. And also the hamster fart is so small like the hamster itself.
Thank you so much!! XD I had so much fun making all their different reactions! And yes, the hamster only has a tiny little fart... he's doing his best XD
the pixel art and animations sell the whole joke, the elephant and the raccoon are great. reading the table to work out who ate what is a fun way to point the finger.
Thank you so much!! We're really glad you enjoyed the pixel art and animations!! The elephant and raccoon were really fun to make XD
Thanks for playing!!
