i like it good job ;☺️
I loved the game aesthetics, visuals, polish and everything about it, yet there is 1 thing that stopped me from enjoying the gameplay:the control schemes. Not only are the control schemes not intuitive to any game but also the control schemes present on screen were not the ones corresponding to my keyboard, so it was a guessing game to know which button did what (even after reading the controls due to missmatch of contry keyboard schemes it was impossible for me to enjoy, it was not a "you problem" per say but indeed was something that stopped me from having fun, next time try to be careful with the special keys you use like " ´ " and others due to different keyboard layouts.) But overall, a very nice and polished game, great job!!
I love the graphics, and the AI system is crazy impressive. My 2 problems, is the keybinds, and just that I feel like a lot is going on? At first I wasn't sure which team to tackle. Then after I "exposed the traitor" I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do next. After re-reading the game description and getting use to the controls I got the hang of things.
It's still a very impressive game, and an interesting spin on the concept and soccer.
This isn't really an easy fix but I often got lost on the field LOL. The ball would go somewhere and I would lose track of myself and I'd just be in a corner and wouldn't notice till the ball got closer to
I'm impressed by how polished this game is in every aspect, the art is cool too, very well done!!
The style really reminds me of old Nintendo games. It feels great to play, and the AI system is seriously impressive. It’s kind of crazy that you managed to put all of this together in just one week!
Crazy amount of polish, very fun. Did find the controllers a bit difficult at times, mostly since theres no pass button and the player swapping wasnt always the most accurate.
Imma world champioooon! Great game; the controls took a bit to get used to but really cool visuals, audio and concept as well!
Damn this game gave me some old nes vibes :D very cool graphics and design. Feels very polished.
I also think the idea is pretty cool. The only downsides are the controls. on my keyboard (laptop) the keys for passing and shooting are to close to movement keys so it get really tricky. Controller support would be great after the jam (I think keyboard is a requirement for the jam so sadly that was not a option).
Also the KI seams to have some issus sometimes. But it is a jam title, nothing what could not fix afterwards.
Great work !
the controls didn't work well for me, but apart from that a top notch game. Very impressed that you were able to create such a complete and polished game in only 1 week!
The visuals and music perfectly captured a mix of 8 and 16bit era games, definitely a little bit of Kunio kun flavour in there! Was it all from asset packs? I was a bit confused what to do when the player I was controlling was labelled the traitor but overall I enjoyed playing it. Impressive you could make this style of game for a jam.
Very cool game, controls felt decent but the enemy AI was pretty responsive. Saw someone lost to Germany 2-0 while I lost as Germany 2-0 haha, great work!
Really awesome job! Programmed well
The idea is really original and fun! The game is a bit hard though, mostly because of the controls. It was really confusing with a nordic keyboard. I really enjoyed my time after i got the controls figured out!
Wow, it's impressive that a soccer game was made for this jam while applying the theme of not trusting anyone, including your own teammates. I lost 2-0 to Germany but the gameplay is really impressive even though I struggled getting hang of the controls 😆.
I had a lot of fun playing the soccer game and I think adding the traitor mechanic definitely made it more interesting than the typical soccer game. I am highly impressed that you developed the AI system within a week let alone by yourself. I will say there were time my player was out of camera and I got lost but overall good game!
Not half bad. The gameplay is a bit clunky but that's to be expected with such an ambitious project. Really good presentation overall.
It took me a while to get a handle on the controls, especially getting a sense of which player I would switch to. Felt solid overall, nice job!
Developing a soccer game is highly complex, especially when it comes to programming the AI for all the computer-controlled players. You have done an impressive job with this. After playing a couple of matches, I did notice one area that feels a bit off. The traitor mechanic seems slightly out of control at the moment. It feels like that player runs around randomly in any direction and scores goals without clear intent or strategy. Tuning this behavior slightly could make the gameplay feel much more balanced. You can't rely on the guy, which may be on purpose?
Exactly! The player AI system took up almost all of my time during the jam, so I had to simplify the traitor mechanic quite a bit compared to my original idea. The unpredictable behavior was actually intentional to some extent, but I agree that it could use some more tuning to make it feel more balanced and purposeful.
Its fun but the controls are a bit confusing
Yeah, I agree! I originally planned to use different keys, but I didn't have enough time to update the control sprites, so I decided to stick with the keys shown in the sprites instead.
