How does the game fit the theme?
I spent a while sitting with the theme, Trust No One.

A few readings came up. Being deceived by everyone. Being deceived by the one thing you counted on. Deceiving everyone.

We built the game around the last one.

In Dress Code, what you wear is where you belong. Guards don't check faces — they check colors. So you take their armor, put it on, and walk through like you were always one of them.

Use your talent for deception to solve your way out.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
- Sound effects: Kenney's free CC0 packs (kenney.nl — RPG Audio, Music Jingles, Interface Sounds)
- Music & sword SFX: CyberWave Orchestra on Pixabay (Pixabay Content License)
- Engine: Unity 6 (URP, New Input System)
All art, levels and gameplay were made during the jam.

How many people worked on the game?

Woah! I loved the Concept and artstyle, and this is also extremely polished, FIRE

Love the artstyle and tileset work! The audio effects were very satisfying

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Tileset work is a great thing to have noticed — that's all Jssam, who did the art during the jam. The SFX are Kenney's CC0 packs so credit where it's due, but I'm glad they landed. Heading to yours now!

the art and music are very cool. I LOVE the sound design of that game, and the puzzles where interesting!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The art is all Jssam, made during the jam — I'll pass that along. Music is CyberWave Orchestra from Pixabay and the SFX are Kenney's CC0 packs, so credit where it's due. Really glad it all hung together. Heading to No One's Journey now!

What a well-realized concept! I would definitely get a full version of this; it's a really neat puzzle space. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! A full version is getting very tempting after comments like this. Heading to Imaginary F(r)iend now!

This game was great and very innovative!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! "Innovative" is a good one to hear — we weren't sure the color-swap idea would land. Off to play The Archivist!

Submitted(+1)

Liked the approaching for puzzle genre. Also hints were very useful in game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad the hints worked — we went back and forth on how much to explain versus let you figure out. Playing Is this me? now!

Submitted(+1)

Cool game! The puzzles were very nice!

Developer

Thank you! Really glad the puzzles landed. Heading to Epic Action Packs now!

very fun and charming game!

Developer

Thank you so much! "Charming" is a lovely thing to hear.

Submitted(+1)

I really like the idea and the different mechanics the player could use. Simple but cool.

Developer

"Simple but cool" is exactly what we were aiming for — thank you! Off to try MDS now.

Submitted(+1)

Such an amazing dress-up puzzle game! Any plans to expand this into a full release? It already feels like a high-quality demo for a full game!

Developer

Thank you! We've been talking about it — the mechanic has more room than 10 levels. Nothing promised yet, but comments like this are making it hard to ignore. Playing DEAL ME A LIE now!

Submitted(+1)

They've backed me into a corner and are beating me with a wet stick.

The game was great, honestly nothing to complain about.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, genuinely. Heading to Focus Bell now!

Submitted(+1)

The music and pixel art is REALLY impressive for a game jam! keep up the great work!

Developer

Thank you! Passing that straight to Jssam, who did all the art during the jam. Music's CyberWave Orchestra from Pixabay — glad it all hung together. Off to Wanted!

Submitted(+1)

This is by far the most polished game I've played yet-especially in the art department!
The only small issue I bumped into was on second level if I took off my red armour I lost it and it somewhat soft-locked me x) but that's probably my bad for randomly getting undressed.
Really cool concept, and beautiful animations & stings love love

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And that's not your bad at all — you're the second person to hit exactly that. Taking armor off is permanent by design, but nothing on screen tells you R restarts, which is our miss. Fixing that. Playing Check It Out now!

Submitted(+1)

Really, really cool! I love the mechanic of switching sides, level 10 was my favorite haha really great job!

Developer(+1)

Level 10 being the favorite makes me happy — that one took the longest to design. Thank you! Heading to Cold Wash.

So many games, limited time to play, but this one is going to come back complete later. Good take on the theme, and I liked the puzzle problems.

Developer(+1)

"Coming back to complete it later" is high praise during a jam — thank you! Off to Zeno's Escape now.

Submitted(+1)

Perfect game for the theme! 5 star game. Only thing I think is annoying is that the interact range is incorrect with the popup. But great concept and full experience. gg

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And that's a real bug — the popup range and the actual interact range don't match. Noted for the post-jam build. Playing R.O.S.E now!

Submitted(+1)

A really cool puzzle game! I'd love to see more of that. My only complaint is that the majority of the levels felt like a very long tutorial with how straightforward they were and only the last few were challenging (and the last one felt like rocket science haha).
Great work!

Developer

That's fair and genuinely useful, thank you. The curve is flat for most of it and then jumps — a few people have said the same about the last levels. More middle-difficulty stages is exactly what a full version would need. Off to Ad Break!

Submitted(+1)

A fun game with awesome puzzles, I played it all the way through and didn't regret it :)

Developer(+1)

"Didn't regret it" might be my favorite way anyone's put it — thank you! Playing a jam game all the way through is about the best compliment there is. Heading to yours now!

Submitted(+1)

really fun, the concept is good and i enjoyed all of the puzzles. It also felt very polished and the art is nice!

Developer

Thank you! I'll pass the art praise on to Jssam, who made all of it during the jam. Really glad the puzzles held up — heading over to It is lying now!
