Quite an addictive game, it would be cool to see extra types of neighbours.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I initially had 7 types total, but just kept cutting them since they made the game really hard to understand and actually make playable in the time frame I had.

Nice little game! I would've loved to see more of the theme inside of the game (like a 4th type of villager, that might lie so it makes the game harder, while still making the game possible to win).

Loved the graphics, and the audio is great too! Overall, very nice entry :D

If you have some time, please check out my game too :)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
I had more villagers initially, but they were clashing with each other or made the game hard to understand so I had to cut them out.

This game is sick! I already like minesweeper and this is also very very fun! The music is good, and the art is really whimsy. I also like that you have a timer. I won't mind playing 10 extra level lol!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing! :)

very creative idea! loved the style and the characters silliness!
was so fun!

Thanks Sherlock!

Fun interpretation of minesweeper! Maybe it was the artstyle or the uncanny feeling of the voices but I swear there was some big plot twist about to happen if you annoyed the guide so much that they turned upside down lol. As someone who notably does not play much minesweeper, my time was a solid 22:16. Overall very fun and polished, I had a great time!

Developer

Really glad you still finished it and gave it a full play through, thanks!!

A very fun puzzle! I liked the guide getting annoyed when you hovered over them, the audio design was lovely, & I enjoyed the increase in difficulty as the nights progressed!❤️

Developer

Thank you!

A cozy and charming take on the jam theme, and a great puzzle - I had a lot of fun!
The sound effects made me laugth and hovering over the hint character cracked me up :D

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you could enjoy it :) !

I liked the graphics, sound and tutorial character.

The gameplay loop is strong and mine-sweepery. Well done!

Developer

Thanks!

I have a slight problem distinguishing colors (I'm slightly colorblind), and I wouldn't have to sit with my face pressed against the monitor to see what marker color i left.

I often play Minesweeper on my phone to kill the time so i really loved it, remaking it into a GameJam-themed version was a great idea!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

I never considered the accessibility part (at least not for a game jam, but I'll keep a mental note going forward and If time allows I'll maybe add some accessibility features, but I still find it hard to justify it for a game jam game)

I love the art style and the narrator's awesome. Also maybe it was just me, but when the game says that you can see who people can sense by hovering the mouse over them, I interpreted all of the bright (non-dull) neighbors as the one being sensed. It took me a while to realize it was proximity based.

Super cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, the tutorial guy was a bit vague or maybe not 100% clear at some points, I tried making him explain the rules in a way that can guide the player enough to play throughout the game.

I likes it, The idea and the gameplay is good

Really cool and and interesting puzzle! It's like minesweepers on steroids. Cool idea, cool execution!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!! It started as more, it had 7 villagers, but their abilities were clashing with one another's so I had to cut them 1 by 1 until I was left with almost a clean minesweeper haha.

Submitted(+1)

Maybe you can rework and include them again in the future! We are out of jam, no time limit :D

Developer(+1)

I made this game in a rush and it doesn't have the best architecture underneath. I will say that it got enough love for what it is. Great learning experience though!

I enjoyed that, it was the perfect difficulty. I liked the gameplay, visuals and especially the little guy giving instructions who didn't like to be clicked.

Developer

I'm glad you noticed and CLEARLY respected his boundaries!

This is fantastic! It's an interesting challenge. The game gives just enough information to figure out who's who. The art style is a lot of fun, and it's got chill vibes. I really like this.

Developer

Thanks for playing it and for the kind words!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
You won't believe this, but I was actually in the middle of playing your game when I noticed you left a reply here?!?
What are the chances haha!

lol that's crazy timing!

Love the art style personally. Very satisfying minesweeper-like game. I spam clicked the guy and was terrified he'd jump scare me.

Great game!

Weirdly enough, you can actually trust everyone haha

Thanks for checking out the game and thanks for the kind words!

I initially started with 7 different villagers and all these crazy interactions, but it turned out to be very confusing and too much for a small game, so I cut them down. Doing that turned the game into mostly minesweeper.

And yeah, you can weirdly trust everyone haha.
