The polishing is really good, the visuals and everything, and the gameplay is really smooth and satisfying, this is the best part. But I think the music stopped (didn't loop?) after some time. But imo the balancing of the gameplay is a bit rough, there's a lot to manage (your health, your aim, your ammos, your timings, the scanning [while moving], your position [dashing around to avoid zombies], and protecting and evacuating the survivors / killing them if shapeshifter). so it's kinda overwhelming. I find that mostly my successful evacuations are the lucky survivors from the beginning of the wave when there are no zombies. Great game!

How does the game fit the theme?
You play as a soldier evacuating survivors from a facility overrun by zombies, but there is shapeshifters among the survivors. You will need to scan each survivors to ensure no shapeshifters slip past you.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Most of the art assets, UI, sounds was not make from scratch, but I still modified the art to fit my game better.

Very nice main menu, love buttons that react when you mouse over them. Fun to click, lol. Enjoyable gameplay, really like the shooting effects and sounds. It was simple gameplay but surprisingly addictive. Great job.
Ooo fancy splash screen very nice hehe. Juicy start screen UI. Very cool that the environment is changed with what happens in the game. The art looks cool! I like the camera movement for the death scene. Sometimes zombies kill the survivors off screen so that part felt a bit unfair. Sometimes the npc would block my shots too. Nice and juicy shoot effects! I felt compelled to try it a few times even though I kept dying haha. Overall great work!
Cool game and very well polished! The combat and movement feels clean and enjoyable. My main gripe is that, to me, the main concept of the game is unclear. You have a mix of a wave based shooter game, combined with scanning and saving humans with also the chance of them being shapeshifters - and at the moment the game is split between the two, doing neither effectively. Great game anyway though and I can definitely see something here!
The shooting feel and sound effects of the game are excellent. I really love it. I have already given you a rating.I'd like to hear your opinion about our game. Thank you!!

Really juicy and enjoyable twin stick gameplay, and the scanning was an interesting way to fit the theme. Nice work!
Nice 2D bullet hell! (I also made one hehe) The addition of the rescue mechanic definitely makes it more difficult - I wasn't able to figure out the shapeshifters before the enemies got to him or I died, but I enjoyed cycling through the different weapon options, and I like the zoom in effect when you died. Nice job!
Nice clean game! The art is cool and the game loop is there. However the difficulty is quite high from the start, it would be better to have weaker enemies at the beginning (1 shot to kill) and/or faster scanning then increase enemies resistance. It seems the zombies don't attack the shapeshifters so that's a way to detect them, but it means it's even harder to save the legitimate humans ^^" Good job anyway!
The game fell is awesome! My only nitpick is humans being the same speed as zombies, sometimes they spawn next to each other and just die before we can reach them sometimes. Regardless it was fun, great work!
Pretty cool mechanics but zombies kill humans before they even show up. and while scanning humans zombies kill you or humans for sure. great game tho
Pretty cool little game. I loved the shooting mechanic it was so satisfying. The game was nicely balanced and it was easy to engage. My only suggestion would be using some more tense music and sound effect to match the settings. Other than that I enjoyed most aspects of the game. Nice job!
I really like how simple but effective the design is! My only question is about control mapping since "E" being the scan key makes moving and scanning very tough. but maybe that's the goal and its meant to be very hard? Either way well done.
Well my intention was to wait for the survivors to be in place then you only scan them while protecting them from the zombies, I did move and scan while playing the game too lol, but I quickly abandon that thought and wait for the survivors to stand still then I only scan them. So I assumed that most player would also have the same behaviour like me, but I guess that was not the case. Maybe I should try out something to address this issue post-jam.
Anyways thank you for the feedback!
I really enjoyed the game overall!
My favorite parts were the UI, the overall sense of feedback and responsiveness, and especially the camera work and presentation. You can really tell that a lot of effort went into polishing those aspects.
amazing game expecialy for just 1 dev. I was gonna say it was a little hard, but then i figured out i can switch weapons. anyways i passed the game with just the pistol.
you are working solo? amazing game, I just shoot everyone (did finish the evacuation) perfectly balanced for me
Love the high-stakes mechanic of scanning survivors before deciding whether to trust or shoot. Combining deduction vibes with top-down action works surprisingly well, and the shooting feels super crisp. Really clever take on the theme, great job!
This is a game all about choices, and each choice really does matter. The art is really cool! Great job!
