really nice graphics and effects. sweet game, thanks for sharing here.
This is a well polished game, solid gameplay. Loved the art and effects. There's not much I can offer as an idea for improvement. If anything, I'd have to say the UI? Given how responsive and reactive the rest of the game was, the UI felt flat or just a little out of place? I dunno, hard to explain. Still well done getting this out there!
I absolutely love your art style. As someone who plays card games, I think this game is fantastic.
Adored the slight parallax on the card art. Extremely polished!
The game looks absolutely stunning and the audio is super polished; it honestly already feels like a finished title ready for release. The card-based gameplay loop is incredibly catchy, and all the design choices just click together perfectly.
Well done!
This is seriously impressive. The visual details and controls feel absolutely top-tier, especially the 3D card effects—they look insanely good. The card mechanics are integrated incredibly well too. It took me a little while to understand how everything worked, but once it clicked, the game became really fun. There’s already more than enough here to keep developing it further, and I think it would work perfectly as a full standalone indie game. Absolutely awesome.
Can only agree with everything my fellow developer from our team already mentioned. Incredible!
Wow, what a banger of an entry. The visuals are incredible, and having multiple songs that loop perfectly just makes for a ready-to-publish presentation.
The gameplay is very satisfying too with a clever system. It's a bit on the easy side, but for the context of a game jam I prefer that to it being arduous! Are you gonna make a full release out of this game?
Everything looks stylish, fits the theme, and feels polished. The idea is excellent, and the execution is insanely impressive for just one week. Hats off to you! I honestly do not even know what else to say - I am seriouslye genuinely impressed.
literally everything is perfect down to the itch.io page. The parallax card art, the juice, I'd moreso believe this game was a boiled down version of a released/to-be-released game rather than a 1-week jam submission (that's a praise!).
Well done!
An incredibly well done game and a complete package to boot. The gameplay loop was simple and intuitive, the narrative was delivered well, and the art is just fantastic. Great work
The overall game is insane. It's very polished for a game that's made in a week and all game elements complement each other really well. The game is easy to understand, the art is gorgeous, and the audio suits so good and satisfying to hear especially when placing the cards. Huge kudos to the music as well, it's so nice to listen to in the background and matches the vibe of the game's environment too. Great use of the theme and making a game that's engaging and fun to play.
If this gets implemented with more lore storytelling and more levels that gives more depth to the game, it'll definitely be chef's kiss. You could also consider publishing this on Steam even, when you get the chance to complete the full storyline and levels of this (Am legit even interested to get it if so hahahah) cuz it got me invested wanting to know more about the new magistrate and how things turn out to be that way especially the Sun Wukong so amazing work to the whole team!
Thank you so much for this heartwarming feedback :) As for the story, I’m glad you could feel it—there’s still a lot more to tell (including about our magistrate’s backstory, hehe). We don’t have plans to work on a commercial version, but… maybe the result of the jam will inspire some of us to continue the adventure? Who knows :) Thank you again <3
This game is insanely well done for a game jam game, the art is mind blowing, the cards are super nice. and the clues and hints in the card game are suuper satisfying to get right, for me this game should probably win the game jam. The concept itself is very nice and fits the theme super well, breathing a new and unique freshness into all the clue games we got during this game jam. congratulations, its a 5/5 for me.
I love the idea of making the cards with a 3D picture inside . Well done!
Daamn! The visuals are great, the game is clean and smooth, and the gameplay is unique/not just a simulator game. It feels complete despite having few levels. Although i finished the game, I'm still not sure if i get it haha (maybe i'm just not in the right headspace to read allat) but even so, the visuals and gameplay so good i kept playing. It also kinda reminded me of the Demon's Hand Minigame from LOL (which i really like).
Maybe I'll just suggest adding like an archive or history of what the characters have said so the players can read it again incase they missed it. But yeah it's really an amazing game!
