It's a great game, the story is engaging, and it's so nice that there are multiple endings. It's really built in a way that makes you trust no one and I didn't even trust my character that much! Good job! ♥
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked it!❤️
Cool art, the art is simple and coherent, good for a game jam!
Good game overall, felt weird to talk to my flirty, allegedly criminal step-sister that was locked down in my parents basement with no food, but I pushed through and found no page, interesting weird story. Well done!
Thank you!!! I'm happy to hear you found it interesting (& weird - weird is always a bonus).😄❤️
Good game please rate my game
Just rated it! Thank you for playing mine.❤️
Visual novels usually aren't my cup of tea, but I have to admit I got really hooked by the story! The characters are endearing and the story is simple yet well-constructed. I'm probably a bit dumb, but I didn't realize you had to press a key after entering your name, so I got stuck there for a bit.
Good job!
Thank you so much, that's lovely to hear! I'm very happy you liked the characters & got past the most challenging part of the gameplay (I don't blame you for getting stuck there, I've done similar things with many other games).😄❤️
Well done on making everything yourself, good job! Although I still don't understand where did Paige go, and if parents are some bloody lunatics, or something even worse.
Thank you!!! And where she went is deliberately left unsaid for...um...plot purposes (definitely didn't run out of time-). But it does mean you can draw your own conclusions, which was intentional.❤️
Well that screen of the parents in complete shadow will certainly stick with me for a few hours. I'm not the biggest fan of the genre visual novels but it was a solid entry in that as far as I can make a judgement even. And that meta joke with the "trust no one" option was a nice touch :)
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked the meta part!❤️
And I'm happy to hear that it will stick with you (even if it's in the bad way - trauma's the name of the game for us writers, after all🙃).
Well written story. I only got one of the endings which didn't reveal anything besides a error code. I assume the whole point is to leave the answers out to keep the mystery alive. This story fits the theme very well.
Thank you! I did want to keep the mystery alive to some degree (even if I had longer to make it) because it's more fun that way (the players get to decide whether Axell's guilty or not), & all of the endings do end with an error code. You might be able to piece together more of the story with more endings though, if you want some of the mystery removed!❤️
Love that I can pick any name. that's always fun in a VN! I said "the thing" and got error 408 i think?
this was pretty good! I haven't seen a VN submitted so far, it was kinda refreshing.
I like the story alot, the music and art was good too. creepy parents
I'm pleased you found it refreshing, & that you enjoyed! Thank you so much for playing!❤️
Ruined my own experience at the very start when I realised that there was no character limit on the player's name. My second playthrough went a lot smoother.
Ren'py games are super dependant on their variety of choices and ending, really good job on managing to keep them both varied and concise. I would have prefered a more detailed epilogue than an HTTP error for all of them but I understand that time was short.
Pretty cool story all around. The way the father looks like John Arbuckle is definitely a plus.
I did try to make a character limit, but I don't know if a) it works at all, or b) if the web version changes some stuff (the text box for your name looks different to the downloaded version I think?). Anyway - thank you for your feedback, I'm very glad you enjoyed, & I'm happy you appreciate having Jon Arbuckle as a father figure (had to look up who he was but I do agree he looks similar!)!❤️
Story actually had me hooked. It's perfect when you actually don't know who to trust. Great work!
Thank you so much, glad you liked it!!!❤️
I said the thing! The parents were creepy, even though I sorta wanna believe them, but I also don't know who to believe. The game just ended after I told Axell I wouldn't hate her. Maybe I will try to get the other endings!
EDIT: I no longer trust the parents kek, but also think axell may be a little crazy too, so in reality maybe i should just escape LOL
YOU SAID THE THING!!!
Very glad you liked it - yes, Axell's a little crazy (aren't we all?), & yes, run away as fast as you can.❤️👍
Great game! The option to skip through dialogue was a great idea, it allowed me to easily go back and try different choices.
Thank you! And skipping is a built-in feature of Ren'Py, the engine I use to make visual novels, but some people do decide to remove it, especially if they're making custom buttons for stuff.❤️
Really cute idea + art, loved that you could decide who to trust in the end :)
Thank you so much, it means a lot!❤️
How creative!🥰
Thanks for playing!❤️
It's a good game, and I love the art style!
Thank you so much!❤️
Nice Work 🫠
Thank you!❤️
