OMG this was brilliant! The dialogue was hilarious. The multiple endings were great. Art was charming. The sound... good! (especially liked the different mumbling sfx for the npc's when they talked.) I actually liked the input mechanic of holding Q while talking... felt like I had to stop myself from accidentally killing people. Only gripe was the font choice - though it fit your medieval shire vibes perfectly, it was hard to read at times, especially with the fish guy who already talks weird lol. Great game!

How does the game fit the theme?
You can't trust Anyone on this town...
Not even yourself
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I use some external Unity Packages, mostly Yarn Spinner.
Art and Sound came from creative common sources, edited for the game.

I like the art and style. Although I kept accidentally killing people. I wish attack and talk were reversed. Holding down q for every conversation was a bit tiring.
Not many attempt this kind of art, my good Sir.
Though art an exceptional
And the game shows such a LOONY World… it is facepalm inducing Amazement!!
Stunning art and UI!
(Our game is still a bit short on ratings, so if you've got a sec to leave one we'd really appreciate it :D)
Goddamn, love the style, the visuals are just so so good and different! Love the dialogue, it is a nice deduction game with great polish, UI and visuals. The atmosphere is actually amazing, can't stop repeating it haha. Great job on this one!!!
Very fun artsyle and even funnier dialogue! Loved the talking sounds
The gameplay is solid and I like the art style, I would suggest polishing the 3D environment.
Nice game and the art is really cool!
Like many others, I found having to hold q to talk is tedious and doesn't really bring something interesting, maybe a toggle to equip/sheathe the sword would be more practical. Also I had to reload the page after naming a culprit, maybe a smoother way back to the menu would be nice.
Good job!
I would've liked it if the map's texture matched the art style, but otherwise it's a very interesting concept. Good job devs
Marthakaz in the comments below pretty much summed up my experience. Loved the art and some of the ideas, albeit not clear where those ideas were headed: leaving the crime unsolved is a fun twist on the genre if it doesn't just end the game; stabbing people freely is a beautiful player agency, but the inverted controls (as in by default I want to talk not stabby stab) do make it a little too easy to do so. Talk like a normal person vs talk in shakespearean english would be a fun button to have in a game.
If I had a nickel for every time I accidentally got an ending in a game at this jam by leaving the map without knowing it was an exit and the end of the game, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice in one jam! Overall, I think I managed to get four endings and I have no idea what the fifth ending could be. Art is awesome, I liked the walking animation the most. Great dialogue, but the font could be a bit more readable, combined with that fancy English, it's a bit hard to read smoothly. All in all, I really like the game and I would've gladly chatted with the characters a bit more, and it'd be cool if the mystery required coming back to them later and connecting the clues more, but it's still fun as is. Nice work! ♥
The game was called East Hill! https://bmgaming.itch.io/east-hills Though I don't know if you can really call leaving in that game a "chicken out" situation :D
The art is so wonderful! Dialogue is funny and enjoyable I found 3 endings (started with Sinner obviously cause I wanted to see if I can slice someone or not xD)
XDDD I accidentally found two endings while trying to enquire: I killed Salutorio by accident, and walked to the station to write "suicide". I would have preferred to know this last one had ending consequences because it forced me to restart and re-read all the dialogues.
That being said, I absolutely love your game. The visuals are stunningly good and fun, the music is well chosen, the voices are fun and fit the plot and gameplay. Your UI fits so well with the theme. The lore is just great, I love the way you built your characters (visually and story-telling and voices). Mhrfs ! was very fun to play with <3 But I identify more with Stubbornoz é_è
Like others said below, I didn't find a way to the white-hat character. I see there's a stair behind the scene but I couldn't find a way to reach it. Did I miss something ?
(Also, I get French vibes from your game - am I right ?)
Loved the visuals and dialogue. Great mystery too. I think i only found 4 endings and couldn't find a way to that all white character at the top but amazing game!
Fun dialogue and the Visuals were great too. Found 4 of the 5 endings, and not sure how to get the 5th. Wondering if it has to do with going over to the white bird in the edge? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I had to trial and error my way to finding the culprit that deducing their identity? ( english not my main language :'( )
