How does the game fit the theme?
You can trust no one because there's two murderous snitches in the Gingerfellas family and you have to stop them before all your best Gingerbread men are toast.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Loved it! Genius in its simplicity and beauty. Great job :
Fun, innovative and made me a bit hungry!
When enabling fullscreen, the game appears to stretch the width instead of preserving the aspect ratio. This crops content off the top and bottom on ultrawide monitors.
I haven’t used Unity in a while but I believe there should be a simple drop-down in the export settings to fix this.
The graphics were nice. I liked the gingerbread men's 2d and 3d versions, portraits were really adding them character. But having too many characters for a short game made it harder to differentiate between them. That would be my sole critic. Nice game overall.
I loved the art and sound design.
The way you send the crew out and then see how things play out makes the simple deduction mechanics surprisingly engaging. The dramatic animations were also hilarious, especially when the whole crew heads out together. It reminded me a bit of "this is the police". Nice work!
Really fun little deduction game! The cookie theme and all the puns are hilarious, and the writing in the intro had me smiling. Simple mechanics but they work great with the polished UI, animations, and sound. Figuring out the traitors felt satisfying. Would love a way to take notes in-game, but overall this was a charming and well-executed entry. Great job!
I loved the writting for this. The intro story was so creative and very funny.
The game was also really enjoyable, I loved how you kept it simple but made it work with great UI and animations. The cookies driving was very fun to watch. Really cool concept, and execution of your idea. I also appreciate how you helped the player out by putting little icons that reminded us who was exactly who. A notepad would be cool if you continued to develop this game further. But overall great game, you get a high rating from me.
Stunning visuals with an endless supply of cookie puns! I thoroughly enjoyed the little animations and sound fx. The game play loop was very fun too! Trying to weed out the slackers from the top performers was a nice mechanic. I just wish I could review my notes before deciding on who gets the axe, but other than that, overall great vibes, really well polished, perfect for this jam!
Absolute cinema. The concept is simple but so much fun. The animations, sound design, UI, everything feels incredibly polished. The amount of juice this game has is insane. Genuinely a little gem. Loved it!
Love the setup - "Gingerfellas" lol. It's fun as a little deductive puzzle. It's a bit simple for what it is though, and I wish there was something done with the money past what is essentially a high score, but alas, 'twas but a week. Endearing!
True, there was a lot left on the cutting room floor. Maybe return and update it with the features and assets that didn't get completed in time to add.
This is a very very well done murder mystery type thing, with some properly interesting mechanics too! It was cool to piece it together with carefully analyzing patterns, and eventually treating my gingerbread goons like they were pawns in my grand scheme. The flavor text going on in the intro and the traits were really entertaining too, immersed me in a wonderfully silly world. Amazing work y'all, had an awesome time with this
Found all of them on my first try! A very fun little game, nice visuals and the music is a good choice, well done! :D
Great little game. I really enjoyed.
Bug: The last button after the reveal, going back to the menu, did not work (but the one when pressing Escape does)
During the heist, it would be nice to zoom in on the animations.
On the last day, it would be nice to see the results before going to the reveal (so remember who was sent on the last heist)
Overall great entry
What a silly game is this :D Really good entry I love the story about this little bakery town. Well done mate
Great game and use of theme! Ended up taking some notes in notepad, so having even just a couple of simple ways to mark characters in the game would be an extra handy addition. I also couldn't get back to the Main Menu at the end for some reason, but that wasn't a big deal.
I'm not too sure where money played a factor, as I also had to sometimes send folks on a mission that would fail to ensure I learned who the traitors were.
Amazing opening cutscene as well! The character art was great too!
You are on the gingafella's money when it comes to features to mark off characters you think you've discovered. It was unfortunately not added in time for the deadline. But I do kinda love that more than a few players did break out a notepad during play. It takes me back to the early days of gaming, without all the tools necessarily built in to help a player.
A shop for the money, playthroughs, and upgrades were all considered and just didn't make it in time
Sweet game, like the vibes. Intro was a nice touch, but should squeeze the text box a bit, not really nice to read lines that travel the entire screen distance. Great take on the theme.
Well done. I enjoyed the game
If you haven't played the card game The Resistance yet: you definitely need to check it out!
Simple core gameplay, but the deduction mechanic adds a surprising amount of depth, which I really enjoyed. On top of that, the setting is just an incredibly strong concept. Truly impressively polished, and the soundtrack fits the mood perfectly. Great game!
I'll absolutely check out resistance! Thanks for the reccomendation.
Gotta give a shout-out to our man Kevin Macleod for his amazing CC music library.
And thank you for playing.
Amazing game. I really like this take on the hidden roles genre. Each role feels different and the "tiredness" system is a clever way to prevent reusing good roles.
The sound, the music, the graphics, the bakery puns. Everything works really well. The only thing that clash with the rest is the results screen, that it's a bit simple.
Also, here is my notes for the run:
The visuals are really good! I really like the heist animation - it had a lot of energy in it.
I think it's a me problem, but the game was a bit difficulty. I think if could see in game who went to each robbery and what were the resulty it will help a lot with the deduction. Or at least, don't move the people around. I guess I can write it down and maybe that's the point, but it could be nice to have it on screen.
Ho and I like the portraits too! Really cool
Wow, creative and fun take on the theme! I liked the whole Gingerfellas idea and all the cookie puns, and figuring out who the snitches were was surprisingly engaging. The presentation and little transitions also made it feel very polished. Really charming entry overall. Amazing job!
