How does the game fit the theme?
This is a game about keeping the late night pawn shop dealing with hustlers and street rats, so you literally can trust no one to survive
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Enjoyed this a lot actually. I could never get the timing right in the haggling but I still had fun.
That was cool! I had a similar idea with pawn shop, but couldn't push it further than just reskin "papers please". Really glad someone can realize that idea so cool!
5/5 audio, visual, and vibes
I think all I bought was fake :'(
This was a fun game.
I loved the PSX look. Retro grading with these fast paced games is really getting popular recently. I also used the same PSX characters btw, that guy is a lifesaver. Pawnshop + PSX, really cool combo. I wish to see more lore, maybe traps to get me into more debt. Well done!
Thanks for playing and for suggestiongs!
Love the storytelling and the noir atmosphere in the game, very fun gameplay loop! The amount of polish in this is very impressive for a 7 day game jam, solid work overall.
Thank you for playing and for the kind feedback!
Downloaded and played. Super enjoyed this one. Maybe a little intro scene about people not trusting low genuity items would help.
Thank you very much for taking the effort to check the game out, besides your early issues with the web build! Happy you have not been disappointed!
Yep, lore is kinda completely missing here, need to work on that in a post jam version.
I was wondering why this game was the most popular until I played it. My most enjoyable game in this jam so far. I would buy it post jam if it will be developed more in variety of gameplay mechanisms.
Thank you very much for such a great feedback!
the vibe, artwork, and audio are all pretty nice, and the gameplay loop is clear and easy.
if you continue working on this, i'd play again. I think it'd be nice to have a little more choices or strategy. Also being able to see the basis (price paid) for the stock would be handy, just to see how much profit is landing per item (I forget how much I paid for each item when the opportunity to sell comes).
Thank you for playing and for the detailed feedback! Maybe I will work on a post jam version later!
You actually can see the price for which you bought the item, it is on TV, along with other stats, but it turned out placing important was not the best idea from the UX perspective.
One of the best games from what I have played, actually have some game play loop. Visuals are interesting, maybe small tutorial would help, but I guess it is just my problem, that I haven't read the About info. XD
PAID OFF MY DEBT!!! YESS!!!! oh wait just in-game…
Thanks for playing! That’s one of the reasons we do play video games - to be able to do things we can’t do in irl, at least can’t do yet, so cheer up!
Such great submission! Love the art direction and overall vibe. The gameplay is simple, yet fun. The only thing that felt missing was some story/unique encounters. Though great job either way, it's my favorite submission so far.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I actually never thought of unique encounters, thank you for the great idea!
Excellent work! It plays smooth, the game is intuitive to pickup and requires no introduction, it is fun to play. However in my experience it was not difficult to win the game, so perhaps a slightly bigger challenge would be nice.
Thank you for playing and for the critique! I’ve spent like 2 or 3 days of the jam trying to balance the game, initially it was super hardcore, but playtests showed that I have to reduce the difficulty. Thinking about making smth like new game + post jam, with new features and increased difficulty.
We had the same issue during our playtests! Our solution was to adjust the difficulty based on the players’ ability. It’s still not there yet and our game still needs further balancing, but I think it solves the issue of having players of all skill levels play your game; rather than tweaking numbers until you find the perfect balance.
Sounds cool! And it actually may work in longer games, because you have to collect some statistics about the player performance. Thank you for the suggestion, I will think about it!
Impressive game! I really like the vibe and quick pace gameplay.
Thanks for playing and for the generous feedback!
Hello! There's a great overall atmosphere in the game—kind of nocturnal and eerie. However, I played in the browser and the controls were tricky; I could only use the mouse. So, maybe include some more instructions on that, but great work.
Hi! Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
What you reporting is a bit unusual as in my case and over all play testers I hade it works without any issues. Can you please specify what platform (OS) are you on and what web browser do you use?
Thanks in advance!
We added your game in our post mortem, i hope this is okay (itch.io somehow messed up the link)
You’re welcome! Still have to check you game, characters and art in general look very nice!
Game is fun for sure, and I had a good time playing. I was able to pay off the debt by night 5, which felt like a good length, though I do wish that there was a little more to it. It was hard for me to get a sense of the theme, but it was a really fun and enjoyable experience. Think it could be something with more time!
Thank you for playing and for the critique!
As for the theme - well you are basically keeping a pawn shop and you have to deal with street rat, smugglers and other criminals who constantly try to take advantage of you, so you basically can Trust No One.
Awesome concept, i had a ton of fun playing your game. I think it may need a bit of balancing, but other than that its a solid concept that i think could be made into a larger game. Has alot of promise.
Thank you for playing and for the critique! Yep, balancing this one was a hack of a job and it’s still not good enough. But now I have a feedback and tweaking things should be easier in a post jam version.
Fun! I'd love to see the game expanded. Love the style.
Thank you! Already thinking about what could be added!
Interesting!
Thanks!
